Excellent Product
The LED bulbs are perfect fit for our otoscope. They are brighter than the non-LED bulbs. The battery now last much longer after each charge. Very happy with the purchase.

Bright!
Why did I wait 20 years to upgrade my halogen bulb? Don't make the same mistake!

This is lamp not 3400 compatible
The base of this lamp is not interchangeable with the WelchAllyn 3400 lamp. It will not fit otoscopes that need the 3400 lamp.

Bright- but not adjustable!
I am disappointed in this bulb, as it does not function correctly. It is replacing the bulb in a W.A. Transilluminator. I do like that it is very bright and a 'whiter' color then the old bulb. However, using the rheostat on the battery handle, the bulb is either on or off. It goes from nothing, to full brightness, you can't adjust the level of brightness, which I need to do. If you don't care about being able to adjust the light level, you might like this. It doesn't function as I need it to. I have tried it with several different battery handles, and they all work the same, so obviously the bulb is not made to work correctly.

Much brighter than conventional bulb
This bulb is noticeably brighter than the one it replaced.

Not brighter than halogen
Fits and functions, but isn't brighter than the OEM halogen bulb. As another reviewer mentioned, it cannot dim, but is a binary "on or of.f"

Had to return both times!
I had to return the lightbulb for my otoscope since it was not working, and requested another one.The second one that I received was not working either!!
