Aluminium, strong and so easy to install even I could do it. Would buy again.

I brought this for a gaming room project which has a lot of plugs and needed something that could hold a lot but was serge protected.As great as this is I've had some up's and down'sPro's -Great number of plug socketsSerge protectedsolid constructionCon's -Some of the plug sockets are very hard to get the plug in (not tight just the covers that keep the mains protected don't move out the way when inserting a plug)Can flex easy (I know it's meant to be mounted on a server rack so the rack would give most of the support)Not a con but wanted to give a mention, plugs can easily but knock out if they lead or are bump, this is due to the strong spring keeping the protective cover on the live ports.only happened a few times and where mine is located behind a unit with little space could be the reason.All in all a great power strip and wroth getting if you need a lot of stuff plugged in and only have one wall socket.

Every stand alone device which makes up my home cinema system has its own plug. From a step down low voltage transformer which powers the hub/switch which gives all my tec the data it needs to a trilogy of amplifiers there just never seems to be enough connectivity or power points for everything to be powered. That’s why I’m now on my 4th iteration of these pdu bars. Fair enough it does cost more than going to the local B&M and picking up 3 or more of the Ever Ready branded ones but for convenience, wall mounted convenience these 20 socket bars are the business. The smaller ones I have are just what Santa ordered when the sitting room window gets transformed for those 12 days. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Although I did not need this unit for a 19" rack, my equipment cabinet had several loose UK plug extensions for the mass of 'wall-wart' power supplied. Replacing the many loose power distribution strips with the Dynamode 20 Way 13A Switched PDU has improved cabinet space and simplified power wiring and thus safety. Furthermore, the surge protection should help reducing the problems with power spikes experienced at my location where the supplied RMS voltage is higher than 230VAC.

A good quality product, but due to its suze and shape it proved difficult to transport. It arrived slightly bashed, but still in wotking condition. I did not return it, as I needed it for an immediate project, but it would be helpful if these units were packaged as "Fragile".

Before i ordered this, i made sure that the devices that be connected wouldn't overload the fuse, going max wattage on everything, this being extreme overkill (safety 1st)Now the 20 way is exactly 4m long (including the screw railings), so it suitible screwing onto a wall using the support beamsSure the plugs are a tad 'stiff' but that helps with integrity for the amount of devices that can be connected
