No cage is perfect but I think this is one of the best as it's a 100cm hamster cage with a large front opening door. Good front access is so important for interaction and taming. It's not too big, not too small. It is a little on the tall side so I find it needs setting up carefully. It could do with a better shelf. I previously had the Barney cage which comes with a good shelf and house. With this cage you really need to buy or make extras. The green shelf and ladder are so big they prevent the space being used well - to fit in a decent sized house/nesting box and a syrian sized wheel and other enrichment. I get wood shelves from a place on ebay. Not too expensive. And a good sized house and wheel then you just need to add substrate and toys. Rat sized toys and tunnels are better for syrians anyway and work well in this cage.It is slightly fiddly to assemble but not that bad. It will never be as sturdy as a pre-formed cage top but has the advantage of being disassembled and folding flat for storage if needed. It is something hamster owners have been waiting for for a long time. A 100cm cage with a large front opening door, that isn't too tall (although it is quite tall so needs plenty of substrate to cushion any falls).Tip for shelves - with wood or alternative shelves you need to cut a small corner piece off as the inside corners of the cage are slightly curved due to the joining pieces.

The size of the cage is generally perfect and the size of the platform is ideal but the sturdiness of the platform when attached could be better! It’s definitely a two person job to assemble this cage as the panels kept slipping out. The wheel is way to small and not to mention very noisy so I’d definitely replace it with another. The bottle is confusing to attach so I just stuck to my old one. The food dish falls off when you attach it to the bars and it makes my boy jump each time.

This hamster cage was bought because we had been told that our others where too small. This was the biggest we could find and it is very big. Two people are needed to put it together, but my wife and I managed it without any problems. The cage is deep and is ideal for a hamster. The accessories provided where also good and fitted well. There is plenty of room to add your own accessories if wanted. All in all, this is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to purchase a hamster cage.

Used for our Syrian Hamster, was recommended on a hamster page as 1 of the best as it gives a lot of floor space and height to add more hammy things if you wish like more levels, bridge, sand bath, hammock etc. The wheel that comes with it I'd say was a bit on the small side for a syrian and also hard to understand how to install it anyway so we replaced it. Our 'Ginger' loves her new home, it is quite big 1 metre in length so make sure you have somewhere to keep it but all in all we are happy with the purchase.

fab cage! my 9 month old syrian boy loves all the space and has already made a tunnel system! big enough to fit in all your standard hamster items- cork logs, tunnels, sand bath etc. Easy to put together too. the size also means you can spot clean for a bit longer instead of changing the bedding as often, since it stays cleaner for longer than the smaller pets at home cages. All in all my hammy is a happy little man :-)

This is the perfect cage for hamsters. So many cages sold in pet shops are far too small, especially for Syrians. This one provides plenty of space and depth for digging as well as a slope and second level for added interest.

The cage is great, fairly easy to put together and once it is all clicked into place, it is sturdy enough. I got this for my son's 6 month old Syrian hamster, who was in too small a cage and we had not realised.Houdini was instantly more happy in this new cage, so I would definitely recommend the cage itself.The accessories are pretty poor quality, and they were poorly packed, basically loose in the large box and shaking about all over the. The water bottle, the exercise wheel and blue igloo house all came down broken, but unfortunately I did not reach for them from the box and check them until i had finished putting the cage together and was ready to add them. Unfortunately with amazon there is no option to do part returns, and I was not about to dismantle the cage which takes about 30 minutes to assemble, so i could re-box everything and send it all back.As I say - we are very pleased with the cage itself, but unfortunately the packaging, and broken accessories ruined this purchase quite a lot, now i will have to buy more accessories just to replace the broken ones.

Lovely and big. But was a bit awkward to put together, and even now that it's assembled it is easy to knock it and pull it half apart when moving it. Not terribly secure. Also the door latch was badly manufactured and only held well on one side. The other side of the clasp was possible to open with just a tiny bit of pressure. It rattles when traffic drives by the house.
