Excelente calidad

I have the largest Rubbermaid Airtight plastic container that I use for storing flour. I like the large one for flour as it is airtight, a nice size to fit in my cupboard. I bought this 12 cup one thinking it was the same size as the one I own. It is smaller. However I store sugar in it, and it is sufficiently large enough to store a medium size bag of sugar ? 2 or 4 kg bag of sugar.

I’ve had high expectations after seeing so many rave reviews on these containers. Was not impressed. First of all, the packaging was terrible. 4 containers dumped into an Amazon box without any additional protection. The containers were badly scratched and there were marks all over. One especially looked like it’s been used. The silicon around the underside of the lid makes it leak proof (I suppose though I didn’t test with liquids), but I don’t think it’s that airtight at all cos top part of the plastic lid is thin and just sits on the rim without much of a tight seal. I put some dry food in the containers and sure enough, within 2 days ants were crawling under the lid around the silicon. I’ll go back to using my old clickclack containers - the lids are very inconvenient to wash but at least they’re super airtight, unlike these.

They look great! I love that they look like glass too and you can see everything. The amount of times I’ve wasted food because I’ve forgotten what’s inside due to coloured or opaque containers is crazy. These are perfect and they have a really good seal on them to keep things fresh.
