Please be warned that 99.9% of this book is solely Credit/Liquidity Risk related. If you're looking for a piece of reference for Enterprise Risk Management or any other risks a bank or credit union might face, do not purchase this book. No mention of Concentration, Reputation, Physical, Transaction (on the consumer transactional level), InfoSec whatsoever.That being said, for what it does cover (again, only Credit/Liquidity Risk), it is a wealth of knowledge that can be used to grow a risk strategy to its fullest.

Good refernce book when looking to learn more on risk management

Confusing and badly written, with a number of theoretical mistakes. I have been a banker for almost thirty years, and understand the basics and concepts behind risk management fairly well, and consider this book to be full of conceptual errors. It's good in making me rethink a number of concepts and go over a number of other texts to prove the author wrong, but other than that marginal benefit, it's a really bad investment of time and money.

The new edition is severely abridged compared to the previous one, and, in addition, a lot of text is just a copy from BCBS documents. This is disappointing as I expected the author to give his own understanding and explanation of/ comments on some unclear or subtle issues in the regulatory documents.

Great book specially for Risk Managers.... I recommend !!!
