Withstood 4 MONTHS of Pennsylvania weather!!
I've never written an Amazon review, and honestly this thing has driven me CRAZY since I've bought it for my husband (way too much time invested, haha but that's just a wife's opinion) however I had to share how AMAZING the quality of this product is.I bought the first one back in February. Within 2 weeks of owning it, my husband landed it in the very top of a 120 foot tree in our front yard. Retrieval was impossible, and my husband was forced to look at it every time he left the house. I purchased him another one shortly after his tree landing... and life went on.The tree drone has been through snow storms, SEVERAL rain storms and a crazy hail storm in the past 4 months of its nesting. It was so well wedged into the branch (the prop guard was caught) that no amount of extreme weather ever brought it down.Until today....We went outside and noticed that tree drone was no longer nesting in the mega tree. My husband went looking, and surely enough it managed to land safely on the ground. The only viewable damage was a broken propeller. I am not tech savey and literally know NOTHING about electronics, but I was pretty confident that after all of the extreme weather that drone had endured, there was no way it was going to work. My husband replaced the propeller, popped a new battery into it... and IT WORKED. Just as well as the one that hasn't been in the top of a 120 foot tree for 4 months.I'm impressed, my husband is happy, and now we have two of these pretty awesome products.

Faulty
The remote didn't work or the camera and it went off today high into the sky on its own and disappeared from sight. Very disappointed

Fantastic starter drone!
This is a great entry-level quadcopter. Lots of "high end" features - wifi camera, headless mode, toss and fly, etc. No "return home" feature, so be VERY careful not to let it get out of transmitter range - especially not straight up (there's a reason I had to buy a second one). This drone has survived many falls onto the ground/grass from as far as 12 feet up in the air with no noticeable damage. With 3rd party batteries (somewhat larger in capacity) I have managed to get up to 8 minutes of flight time on a single charge - so yeah, buy more batteries and a charger that can charge all of them at once. I bought one of these (reviewed separately) and do NOT regret it at all!

... fly it but afterward it is a lot of fun. The main draw back is the battery life
Took me a while to learn to fly it but afterward it is a lot of fun. The main draw back is the battery life. You only get about 5 minutes of flight time before the battery is dead. I would recommend buying some extra batteries for it so you can have more flight time. The camera is okay, no HD here. The wifi interface is sluggish so the video transmitted to your phone is choppy at best and the range is limited.

it runs smoothly and is easy to operate
I bought this for my 12 year old son and he really likes it, it runs smoothly and is easy to operate. There is one drawback and that is the battery lie is quite short, he only gets 5 to 8 minutes out of a charge and it takes about an hour and a half to recharge. I would suggest buying extra batteries for it so you can be charging while flying. Some of the plastic broke off of one of the feet, don't know if it was from a too hard landing or what. But a pretty good deal for the money.

Great product, great retailer
My husband loves his Syma X5SW. He says it is pretty easy to fly. This is his first drone. Headless option is nice. Buy extra batteries. He'll be getting more since one charge lasts less than 10 min (which seems to be the norm). Camera is ok and fun to watch. Customer service was excellent! Communication was fast, easy and pleasant. I would definitely buy from this retailer again.

GREAT QUAD! I'm so glad I bought it.
Flies wonderful. I bought this as a gift, but own the same quad myself. The 1st person view is a novelty at best, you won't use it when you are flying. It's a perfect price to learn how to fly. And this thing is durable. For the first month every landing is essentially a crash, and even then...it flies fine. I personally took the camera off and eventually took the propeller guards off to shave a little weight off the quad. Also a necessity is the spare batteries and charger. Small enough to play with indoors. Get a couple and quad battle.

The product was very poor but the company Cheerwing's customer service was a 5 star rating. They stood behind their product and helped me work through the issues, eventually I had to return it with an RMA. They were so good that I bought a different unit through them.Sincerely,Danny Brauns
