We like our new timer a lot. It works as expected and the loudness of the ring is good.It is made of stainless steel. Yes we recommend.

Bought mine in 2018 and it's had regular use. Recently it began running slow; a shot of WD40 fixed that. Timer is accurate to less than a minute compared with a digital clock. Never fails to ring. Gears and spring hold up to years of use.For a long, loud ring twist the dial back to 55, then set time.

I was so excited to get my timer today. My little plastic Good cook one broke last week after many years of use. I use a timer (mechanical, not digital) for a lot of things. First glance looks good, easy to read, but heavy duty it is NOT. Not heavy weight either although in my opinon the picture of it in amazon depicts it as heavy duty, heavyweight. It is not. Its lightweight. About same weight as my old lighweight plastic one. Okay so lighweight and in my opinion (not heavy duty as written in the item title and description in Amazon) I can live with that even though at this point $11.00 again in my opinion for a sub standard basic mechanical timer is way too high but I have it now so can live with it. So took it out of package. Read instructions. So tested it out. Set timer to 5 minutes. Waited waited waited over 10 minutes. IT'S STILL SET AT 5 MINUTES. . Ticking countdown does NOT work at ALL. So turned the dial to zero UPON WHICH IT RINGS. For my ears NOT A VERY LOUD RING AND FOR APPROX 3 SECS. For me and compared to my old plastic mechanical timer which worked for years and cost half the price, had much louder ringer and rung 3 times longer I would not recommend this timer at all. I am in the process of returning my defective item. I am not saying I recommend it or I do not recommend it. For me this may be a one time defective timer as the ticking countdown simply does NOT WORK AT ALL so its non usable period. As far as quality for price. Not good quality in my opinion for cost. Price way too high. But even if cost $5 instead of $11.00 + few cents it has to at very least function for the purpose it was created. It's very nice looking, but that's about it. I would have taken a replacement and hoped replacement ticking countdown worked, but dont want to take the chance and in addition the quality is not there for the price. I am returning defective item.

I used it for timing the shower. It is hard to hear it when the shower is running. Jack

WORKS WELL. HAD TO TRY USING IT A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE IT ACTUALLY RANG LOUD FOR 3 SECONDS.

Ringer is of average sound-not especially loud.Wish it would have a magnetic back to place on refrigerator. Does have a back hook, but not a secure hang.The pointing dial is black so it not easy to ready the "leftover" time. The dial pointer blends into the black background.Nice looking and light weight.

Value and performance not good at all. Dial was loose and timing you couldn’t trust. Bought a digital one.

Looks good, works perfect, ringer loud. Easy to clean, easy to store, big numbers
