High quality, very stiff stainless-Steel mesh that does not require much support behind it.

This is not a welded wire, it is braided together and very flexible. Wire mesh is clean with no residue to clean. I used it as a weight to hold down different moss types that I have in my aquariums. I cut mesh down to 1.5x2.0, 1.5x3.0 and 3.0x3.0 inch pieces and used fishing line to secure. Pieces have enough weight to hold down moss and keep them in place. Very pleased with this purchase and will buy again.

Needed this to mend the silverware basket of the dishwasher, and we'll probably use it in our beehives. Very happy with the sturdiness so far. The ends do unravel because it's just twisted wire, but if you handle it with that in mind, it works fine. You just have to crimp up the ends.

Hoping for “flat” and sturdy metal “sheets”. Shipped tightly rolled and useless for my application. Started breaking apart at the edges immediately when unrolled and unable to flatten.

I bought this screening to made a sifter/classifier for garnets we pick up from the gravels in Montana. I couldn't find hardware cloth with this size of openings. This screen works well to size between 1/4 and 1/8 mesh. The screening is stainless steel, and it is woven and not welded. The piece I am using fits inside a small tray I use, so the mesh is stable this way. I am pleased with this material.

I bought this to replace some screening that rotted out in a smoker. A much better value than buying the factory replacement part, and I have enough left over to replace it several more times.

Read the reviews!! This is soft woven wire. If it had been shipped flat, I may have been able to work with it. Instead, it comes rolled up in a 3" roll and cannot be unrolled without flying apart! Also one of the 2 rolls had been flattened in shipment leaving it completely useless.UPDATE: I sealed the mesh with etching primer and black epoxy paint allowing me to cut and shape each panel. Once installed into the frame and applying Go2 glue, it is very sturdy and strong. Project was a success!
