Effective
I purchased this set for a specific job I knew would require two bits, a pilot hole and the final full size. They worked very effectively, even when the pilot hole and final drill was on a curved surface. I have not had much opportunity to try out the rest of the set but, if they are as good as teh two I have used, I will be pleased.Reasonable price from a recognised tool maker.

Did the job well. Drilled through some tough steel on an awkward job.
I recently had to replace a radiator support on my car. The existing metal is very thick and of course, the old bolts rounded off. The split tips of these drill bits made light work of drilling new bolt holes. Top tip, work in steps, 1mm at a time and you'll get through the metal in no time, even with my cheap cordless drill.

Quality below expectation
I am a great fan of Makita products, however these drill bits have let me down on simple diy tasks (e.g. redo holes on my car) . They break (snap off) easily and do not seem to be very sharp either.
