I bought these to add a hand position on my hardtail. Works great for me. These are smaller than most bar ends, so don't buy them if you want something to really grab onto. For me, they are comfortable and give just enough purchase for quick climbs. Easy to get comfortable on long, cadence stretches.If you are looking for something to just add another position and like the minimalist approach, these are a good choice.

My arms were a bit stretched out and needed something to help change up my hand positions. Also, I have small hands so the grips were just the right size for me. I didn’t want anything that would stick out too much and look silly. I did add some grip wrapping to the handle for cosmetics, but it really isn’t necessary. They are mounted very well and do not slide even with my weight on it.

I made the jump to the new mountain bike geometry from the early 2000’s. Now that they have wider bars you’re not supposed to use bar ends. These were perfect. Just enough for your three big fingers to give you the extra ooomf to get up the really steep stuff. Plus it’s an extra hand position to rest when on the long traverses or slight uphills. I love them.

Perfect for my application. I ride a 29er Cannondale MTB. I tend to ride a lot of long distances on flatter surfaces, 10-15 miles. This gives my hands/wrists a break from being unnaturally twisted on standard handle bars. Also, different angle for hill climbs.Easy install. I did trim my rubber grips a tiny bit. It came with extra black plastic bar end caps. (red ones are mine) They are short, so may not benefit larger hands. Bar ends are gloss black. They are fine with my riding gloves, but some may want to tape theirs for added grip.I wish they came in more colors. Also, why isn't the allen screw black instead of silver?

HI DEE HI DEE HO :BY GOLLY,AS a simplton i find it hard to beleive that no one is selling bar ends with the option to slip on some knobs.The aluminum is easy enouph to drill into.then after inserting the wood i then drilled through the hole again and slipped into it a finishing nail cut to size before taping it off.Someone is bound to make alot of $ if they start selling these things with knob ends included.After riding for a long distance by draping my fingers around the knob it helps alleviate some of the wrist soreness .

Bars are a little small for my hands. Seems like they are more of a kids size.
