Exactly What I’ve Been Looking For
As it says in the title, I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time and finally stumbled upon it here on Amazon. I like that it is one solid piece (for durability and longevity). It does the job quickly and let’s me get back to my day. I was originally a bit concerned about how harsh the spikes look and wether or not it would be comfortable. To be honest, I did find the texture to be a bit overdone the first time I used it, but found that by the second time, the foam tips had softened just a little making them more comfortable - now I’m completely used to them and don’t give it a second thought. Also, for my particular situation, I found this to work much better on the bed than on the floor. To use it, I simply sit on the edge of the bed with the back stretcher right behind me as I lay back - which immediately fixes my back pain. When on the floor, I found the stretcher to be a little too large/tall. It still did the job, but just seems to do it better (for me) when I use it as described above.

This device helps me
At first I didn’t like the feel of this hard device. It wasn’t comfortable at all. I have a herniated disc L4/5. But after getting used to it this thing really helps me. It puts the natural curve back into your lumbar area which is what alleviates the pain. Most disc issues are caused by poor posture and for me it was a combination of many things but included sleeping on a mattress that removed that lower lumbar curve over the years compromising my disc. I would always wake up with extreme lower back pain and almost couldn’t walk at first till I took a few steps to loosen my back up after getting out of bed. Long story short I ended up herniating the disc later and thus device is really the only thing so far that helps me. I have an inversion table and bought and returned so many other devices to help decompress my vertabrae. Nothing else really felt great. I’m buying a second one of these right now to keep at work as well as at home.

Effective Spinal Decompression
This back stretcher is very firm but works well for spinal decompression. I purchased it to help treat painful sciatica and it has been very effective. After using it for just a few minutes there was serious relief. The unit is lightweight but very sturdy. It is small enough to store easily but the arch is large enough to give a great spinal stretch. It only took me a minute or two to get used to the firmness of the foam. After that it felt great.

it helps as long as you're careful with it
it helps. i think you need patience to use this back stretcher. i ease myself slowly down on it, after positioning it where i want it, but i think it is too big for my body size. it is very hard feeling, but it's also foam, so the hardness isn't so bad if you can just ease yourself onto it gently and slowly. it's impossible to just lay flatly on it and stretch my back. i have to keep my knees bent and my bum up in the air or off the floor if i want to get any type of stretch at all. i lay it on the floor, but i want to try it on my bed, and see if that makes it easier.

My back feels so much better
This has helped my back so very much, my back actually will pop naturally on its own. Very easy to use. It is very firm, and good quality.

I think it made my back worse
I couldn't lay on this thing for more than a few minutes. It was very painful to use and I think it actually made things worse. I think it's too long; I just need something to stretch my lower back, but this thing extends halfway to my shoulders.

This is better suited for the lower back than upper back and ...
This is better suited for the lower back than upper back and neck. Gives a good stretch, but the surfce is hard, and does not give as much as it needs to in order to be somewhat comfortable.

Best back cracker! Simple and relieving!
2019 UPDATE:Wow! A few years later. This thing still holds up. Still use it daily. This is my go to tool when I need to crack my upper back. From the base of my shoulder blades to the base of neck! (Lower back as well) I never could crack this upper area and was going to a chiropractor to focus on that section. Now I’m saving a ton of money by doing it myself, it gives me so much tension and pain relief around the shoulder blades after cracking, relaxing and breathing deeply. I never update my reviews and here I am writing an update to an old review. Invest in one now!!!!I'm 25 years old and been having back pain majority of my youth. I spend a lot of time on the computer working. I use this daily for about 3-5 minutes. It helps relieve pressure between my spinal discs. Sometimes I will lay on it and move in a "ab crunch" motion and it helps crack my back as well.
