MXR Flanger Guitar Effects Pedal

killer, Flanger petal, I put my boss Flanger on my bass guitar, and this is my go to Van Halen sound and pedal on my board now. 18 V and packed with power. Love it.

The paint job doesnt look like the one in the Amazon photo.The stripes dont go on the sides or the bottom and the MXR logo is in a different spot.Kinda looks like the EVH chorus and overdrive pedals paint job,but its ok.The only reason i give 4 stars is because i didnt get any booklets in the box.All i got inside the box, besides the pedal,was a MXR sticker and 4 rubber knob covers

Edward is my hero. So since his passing I’ve finally gotten his pedals. With the EVH button turned on, it’s the flanger sound you here on Unchained and Ain’t Talkin’’Bout Love. With the EVH button off it is very versatile. Can do a subtle chorus type sound to David Gilmour. It’s a little pricey but for an Ed Head, it’s worth it.

The striped pattern is not the same as the selling picture! Sounds amazing but the pattern if I knew was like this wouldn’t buy this one

arrived fast in great new condition ... so much fun... puts a vintage Van Halen smile on your face...when paired after a phase 90 (which makes a great VH sound on its own) it's cool too ... adds depth to your playing...if you idolized Van Halen's earlier albums you will love it! Sounds excellent with other VH songs not just Unchained. (Ain't talkin' 'bout love, Little Guitars etc.) Hearing Eddie's sound cranking out of my amp makes me feel so happy...just like when listening to classic Van Halen cassettes as a teenager thanks to Columbia House (remember them?) ... highly recommend it!I use an adapter. Should have purchased years ago.

I've only used modeling amps with built-in digital effects in the past and decided to get the EVH117 MXR Flanger. All I can say is WOW! It sounds so much better. The pedal is easy to use and it really sounds great. I'm taking a star away because the EVH model is a bit pricier than the MXR Flanger re-issue but doesn't come with a power cord, which will cost you another $16-17. You can use batteries, but you'll chew through those in no time.

I've owned a few flangers over the years, and this one is the best of them. The MXR 117 flanger always gave you great control over all dimensions of the flanging sweep, and this does that. To add to that, it also has the "Unchained" tone reachable at the press of a button. This is almost like having a channel switch, albeit with one of those channels being a preset, but it IS one of the most iconic flanger sounds of all time! Add to that the classic VH look, and solid construction, and I think you end up with a solid analog flanger, a welcome addition to any pedalboard!

Nobody mention that if you will run this pedal through the fx loop of the amp it WONT work propperly. You'll experiment a very significant lost of volume when is engaged. This pedal is designed to be connected in front of the amp and I don't know why Mxr never mention this important aspect.I like the flanger in the fx loop of the amp and I'm very very dissapointed with this pedal because of the drop of the volume and the only solution is buy a boost or any buffer pedal with boost control wich mean more money and more complex in your chain.The flanger is amazin, that is true, if you will connect the pedal in front of the amp, go ahead, buy it, but if you are planning to used via fx loop of the amp, well, find another pedal option

Was expecting great things from this flanger, but the unit I was sent had a very significant volume drop when engaged! Using all quality gear and power supply. Very disappointed, being returned as defective.

This is a peice of rubbish! only purchased this year 2023 and used it for short time 3 times!Its faulty not working properly changed batteries 4 times to check if it was the batteries but no its not!Also the battery compartment is really bad! The wires are not long enough to disconect and connet to the batteris So dissapointed !I want to treturn this I will try I tell you that much!
