Van Gogh Oil Pastel, Round Full Stick, 60-Piece Set

These arrived on time in perfect condition, in great part due to the manufacturer's sturdy box. Excellent firm oil pastels to use with Sennelier, easier to blend than cray-pas, yet able to give a thin line.

I ordered 3 sets of Van Gogh 24 oil pastel (all different colors as offered thru Amazon for $7.17 per set. I was so disappointed when I received my order today. I opened the box and what School Specialty sent me was 3 containers each with 6 white pastels in each container . So now I have 18 white Van Gogh oil pastels sticks . I am very upset as this is not what is listed on Amazon. I certainly don't need and didn't order 18 white oil pastel sticks ...that's not what is being listed. Hopefully they will honor my order and get rhese three sets to me as soon as possible.I did email the company, but unfortunately they are only opened monday thru friday, and I really needed these this upcoming week. I am an art student and needed to get started on a huge project that is due by Thanksgiving. Please School Specialty ...come thru for me!Good news everyone! I received an email today with an apology regarding the order mix-up. Not only are they sending me my correct order at no charge, but they stated I can keep the extra 18 Van Gogh white pastel sticks also!!!! It will put me a bit behind in my project, but it more than made up for the error! Thank you for your integrity, School Specialty!!!

As an artist/educator for 35 years, the quality for the price can not be beat. Hard enough to work into canvas and add to oil painting very little pealing or pilling

The oil pastels are fine as themselves, however, the packing of them leaves much to be desired. The pastels has no cover sheet to hold them in place, so when opened, they were scattered, out of order, and marked and dirtied up by other pastels. I did buy the box as "Used-Like new" and suspect the previous person returned the mess for a refund.My other oil pastels have a thick sponge sheet over the top to hold the pastels in place. This was not the case for this product.The pastels are good, lay smooth, and are on the firm side (not soft like "lipstick" as some more pricey brands) which is fine for the underpainting or first layer of an oil pastel painting. I am happy with the pastel, not the packing of them.+/- of their labels: the Lightfast rating is on each of the label wraps, however, nowhere else; though there could be missing packing sheet.All in all, I would buy the product again, and hope this was a "one off."

My niece was "over the moon" thrilled with these Pastels! Great price.

They are pretty good, but not as good as the Sennlier.
