I had hip and back aches for a while that just never let up. I then found out that I had reduced bone density in my hips and back, and was diagnosed with mild osteoporosis. So I started looking for a good calcium supplement. After much research, I came across New Chapter Bone Strength Take Care, and liked the idea that all of the ingredients are natural with no fillers. So I decided to try it. I couldn't believe the results. Within 2 days, the aches were very much less, and after 4 days, the aches were completely gone. I have been taking this supplement for a couple of weeks, and the aches have not returned.So if I like this product so much, why the 2 star rating?? I recently found out that New Chapter has sold out to Proctor and Gamble who is greatly associated with Monsanto. So now I question what the quality of this product will be once Proctor and Gamble starts manufacturing it. I have also been using the New Chapter Zyflamend Whole Body that has also been very effective for inflammation. Now I have to start my research all over to find a safe and effective product for bone strength.UPDATE: 11/05/15:I have since called New Chapter, and was assured that Procter and Gamble would not change a product that works and was selling. In the interim, I switched to a different high quality brand, and my pains came back. So I switched back to the New Chapter Bone Strength, and within a week, the pains are gone again. So I have updated the review to 5 stars, and I am sticking with this product. I really works for me!!UPDATE 06/06/18As of this point in time, I am still using this product for myself (71 -years-old), and my mother 98-years-old) for about 4 1/2 years. Prior to using this supplement I had pains in my sharp knees when going down stairs.I was also diagnosed with borderline osteoporosis. Since using this supplement, I have not had the any pains pains in my knees and my last physical showed that my diagnosis was osteopenia. I also started having problems with my finger joints locking in the morning when I woke up. I am assuming that this was being caused by arthritis. This problem has also been totally eliminated. This is one supplement that I wouldn't want to be without.

I have tried many different calcium supplements over the years. This is the first one that I can actually feel the effects the very next day after I've actually taken the supplement. And within a few days to a week my joint pains, tooth aches, and muscle aches go away, whatever the problem happens to be at the time. and when I stop taking the aches come back. I am guilty of not taking regularly because I'm concerned my body will get used to this calcium and stop working. So I skip a day here and there. I know this sounds crazy, but I know my body. I haven't taken any pain killer, shot, medicine, aspirin or anything foreign to my body in almost 30 years. So my aches are not masked by drugs that so many in our society are on. In fact I'm a firm believer if we could get the nutrition from our food and all ate right we would have no need for drugs, but because we can't I have sought out all natural organic style food based vitamins and minerals, and I buy New Chapter for my daily "Man Pills" I'm age 49, and my calcium. Great Product, I buy regularly.

All of New Chapter's products are a staple in my families home. The plant based vitamins are vital for your body to properly absorb and fully utilize. I think it is safe to say that strong bones are good all around. All the stories of older people slipping and breaking their hips are heard over and over again for a real reason. That being brittle bones.The main point that I think people overlook is that all of the ingredients come from natural sources. Many synthetic supplements aren't always absorbed by the body making them essentially useless. This is an ethical company that focuses on the quality of where they get the ingredients for their entire line.They are easy on the stomach and are never a problem when your gas tank is empty.

I really appreciate New Chapter products as they are sourced from organic "Whole Foods". This is the best way for your body to capture the most amount of nutrients. I have used many different whole food brands but New Chapter Bone Strength is the best. The size of the tablet is perfect for even my 11 year old to swallow as she hates chewing calcium supplements. Not only is calcium included, but other nutrients such as magnesium, vitamin D3, and vitamin K are included. These nutrients all work synergistically to help you obtain maximum absorption from this supplement. When my muscles start to spasm or cramp, I simply take a couple of these with food. It works like magic. No more discomfort. New Chapter also makes the tiny tabs version of this vitamin but you will need to take twice the amount to get the equivalent to this product. Both work wonderfully.

Just trying New Chapter Bone Strength for the first time -- and so far, I like it. I always look for a calcium supplement that has 'strontium' in it, and this one does. (Strontium is essential to calcium absorption, and many supplements don't have it.) I like to switch-up vitamins so that my body doesn't get use to one routine…or product. I'm now alternating between Garden of Life Raw Calcium and New Chapter Bone Strength. Both are non-GMO whole food based, so that the body recognizes it as food and digests/uses it fully. I believe New Chapter is a quality product, and that matters to me too; I use other products from this company.

I like these plant based calcium vitamins but do not live near a health store. I was happy that I could order it online. I received it on time and undamaged.
