Beautiful take-with Mother Earth symbol
I teach Reiki, and have started giving these as graduation gifts to my students. We use it as a meditation focus, for our collective World Peace meditations. If you do environmental justice work, peace work, anything for which our small blue marble planet is the focus, this is a perfect pocket-size touchstone for our Mother Earth. But they're also just lovely to look at and to hold! I'll be buying more.

Global Marvel
Neat, slightly over-priced, image is a print on, but still pretty cool

Very disappointed
The marble itself is shiny. The continents are then splatched onto the marble with a drab paint that feels like it will flake off in a short period of time. I expected the whole marble would be shiny as depicted, but nope. It's right at the price range that I'm not going to send it back because it's not worth my time to do it, but I don't recommend anyone to buy this Earth Marble. What would fix this would be if they'd have put another clear coat over the whole marble after they painted the continents on, then this would have been worth the cost. As it is, it's not pretty at all.

The Earth on a Marble
These are so great! I got my first one at World Of Maps in Maine, which is now Garmin (bummer because they don't have the gift shop there like MAPS did. It's very cool. If you get a magnifying glass and look at it closely, you can even see the rivers.
