Ideal for keeping medication protected as well as avoiding mis use of medication.
A family member that I care for had asked for this. I had seen the reviews and they explained that this was the same & much cheaper. When it came it was easy to set up. We used an LG Stylo that was not being used. It stays with the Ezy Dose. I'm sure it is limited to what devices work. This phone happened to work. They MUST take their medication on time in the morning and at night. This has worked well for that. I fill the medication and give to my family member. I keep the key and spare medication locked in my safe.**Please note some sarcasm & have a sense of humor for this part**My family member was about a week left on medication. They asked for their medication and I gave them the bottles, not thinking of getting them back. There were only 4 days of medication. What's the worst that could happen? WELL.... here is that sense of humor part. The 4 days of controlled substances were all taken at once. The mood stabalizers were taken as dosed. The anti psychotic medication was also taken at once. That day I didn't notice anything. The next day they were anxious. The next day was even worse. By day 3 I asked if I could see how much medication was left and if I could refill the Ezy dose. The medication GONE! The Ezy dose was then threw at me like a frisbee! Boy did it fly. With major force too! I was ready to see if any teams needed a new player!! I was proud of that throw.Pros: It does work well. It is loud enough to wake up a very sound sleeper for a.m. medication. Keeps eveything organized. Not likely to forget a dose. Flies like frisbee. Hits the wall & doesn't break. Almost impossible to tamper with.Cons: The key turns backwards. This may be challenging for someone with delayed fine motor skills. Set up is simple, but does require some technical knowledge.I actually want another! I really recommend it!

I ended up buying 2 of these, as i liked so well,,,,but read on to update please.
After a long illness & coming home to live alone, my kids & I ordered 1 of these boxes to try before I left the hospital. It worked great, alerting me in sweet ladies voice "its time to take your meds" and repeating, approximatly, every minute with mild flashing green light, until I take meds. Once I tip the machine to get my medicines out for that time, the ladies voice says "thank you"......My daughter lives nearby, but works, so with 2 machines she fills one while i am using one then she just has to switch the one I've used up with 2nd machine she has pre-fillled one she has had time to fill during her busy schedule making it easy for her to fill & switch as I need.I take meds 3 times a day and it is exactly on time every dose. This eliminates the worry of my taking medication incorrectly and i can continue to live alone and no one has to worry about me forgetting or mistaking when i take my medicines.I love it, my family feels safe with me having it that i'll take my meds on time. This is not for a "hard core'' drug abuser that could break into it with a hammer ( they have $800.00 & up costing ones for that kind of security). This is good for an old forgetful woman so her kids don't worry & i don't forget to take my meds on time.I rarely give things a rating of a 5 (4 star being my highest) but this really has been an answer for my forgetfulness & is to the minute on the right time to take my pills. tThe voice reminder & lights to get my attention, without having annoying alarm that would startle me. It uses alkaline batteries so i can set it anywhere in house or even put in purse to take to appointments rather than an annoying plug that i would find "un-handy" being hard to get to places places to plug in to, taking with me to dr's if it is near medication time, etc.The 4AA Batteries last a long time; i'm still using 1st set of batteries that came with 1st machine. I love this great little machine for such a reasonable price! (i bought for 39.99)-----HOWEVER. NOW, 6 MONTHS LATER = THE VOICE ON ONE HAS QUIT WORKING !!!!When I called company I was informed that they were going out of business & could not/would not replace machine and were just selling out stock they have on hand & then will not be making any more of these machines.SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY FROM "EZY-DOSE"I WOULD NOT recommend that, as once they sell out of these they will no longer be a company doing business & if you get a defective one or it breaks down in the near future you will have no one to refund your money or your product.I had an original 5 star review & am glad I waited to give this product a 'good try' before I posted this; as I'm hoping it is a warning to others as I am spending my time shopping online to find similar machine, from different company, at a reasonable cost, that will be in business in the future & hoping one should come with a suitable warranty!!!!

No me convencio.
Sorry.

The best pill reminder!
I am so grateful for this product. It works as advertised and is reliable. It helps me and my loved one remember her medicine time. It requires you to open the slot and turn upside down before it stops beeping. This is a GREAT feature. Highly recommend for those who want to help their loved one take daily medicine. The only thing it does not have are days of the week printed in each slot. I took a permanent marker and added my own I side each chamber to keep track of days. It’s one of a kind on the market. So glad to find it.

Good value dispenser for families to help dementia patient
I bought this for my 75 year old mother who has dementia. Set up was easy using manual controls without using the app for reminders twice per day. So this will hold a 14- day supply of meds for her. After a few days, it’s working well with a slight learning curve requiring family support. We like that the audio reminders sound until the pills are removed, together with the flashing lights, and the unit is lightweight and a great value for the $39 price (as of April 2020).Two noteworthy flaws with the design for us are:1. Next to/in front of the opening where the pills dispense is marked “PRESS” on the unit I received, so my mom keeps trying to press there to get the pills out instead of sliding the dispenser door open to tip the pills out into her hand. We had to cover up the word “PRESS” and write “OPEN” with an arrow on the sliding door to solve this problem.2. The vertical “walls” separating each compartment are clear plastic, so when my mom opens the section she’s taking, she can see the pills in the next section and it looks like there are pills stuck in the open section, so this product could be improved if the dividers were opaque instead.
