works on 2018 camero.
Not a metal body. It works like your windows. Keeps people out to a degree. Possible to break if you " really want to get it off.

Not good
The cap gets stuck on the filler neck and then you have to pry it off. It broke after the second time. 2018 GMC Sierra.

Perfect fit!
I hated that my 2023 Traverse didn't come with a locked gas cap, I parked the car in many places; and I was always concerned that someone might do something to the gas tank and caused damages. This locked gas cap is perfect and give me a sense of security.

Does the job.
Fits perfectly on a 2018 Silverado. I did have a problem with one of the keys as it was difficult to remove. Found it had some burrs that needed filing off. Once I did that no problems with removing the key. The other key was fine. Thus a 4 star review instead of 5. I did see some mentioning that is is made out of plastic and well if you look closely at the filler neck it is also made out of plastic. If this cap was made out of metal it would damage the filler neck. It basically locks into slots on the filler neck all the more important to line it up properly. I think the plastic could have been a little thicker or sturdier but this is the only thing available and it's a GM part. The only other thing that can be done if you want your filler locked is to replace the filler door with a locking filler door. This does meet the need if you just want a locking cap without having to go through the added expense of replacing the filler door. It does the job as a deterrent as well as keeping water and dirt out of the filler neck. Hopefully it'll last.

It's better than nothing
Fits perfect on my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. I will say this product does seem very flimsy, but not for nothing most gas caps aren't steel motor cages. It does stay secure. Yes by hand I highly doubt anyone can remove it when it's locked but if someone really wanted to put a little effort yes with a flat head screw driver and a little effort yes it can be removed when locked. It's not fort knox. But it can make people think twice. Also it gives me peace of mind knowing at least there's something there. Something is better than nothing and nothing obviously is what I started out with. Also I will say I think it's worth the price. Nowadays you get what you pay for.

GM failed the Buick Enclave owners
Recently bought a 2018 Buick Enclave with a push to pop open fuel door. Even though these no cap systems are supposed to be near impossible to siphon from, I still got siphoned. Researched how to lock the fuel cap and came across lots of articles on how to easily siphon fuel from non locking fuel doors/systems. So annoyed. I bought this product even though it said it didn't fit my Buick. I understand that technically, you can't say it's made for a vehicle if it technically wasn't, and liabilities or whatever... I bought it anyways cause if I came out to my car and saw a spray of gas next to the fuel door again I will lose it. It fits!! Just line up the top and bottom grooves correctly and lock. Easy peasy. I am feeling better now. I searched hours!!! for a solution and no articles on the Buick forums and blogs had any. It was the review I read about an owners 2021 Chevy Colorado that helped make my decision to get this. Very happy!!

Not what I expected
Purchased this product because it as a "Genuine GM Part" which indicated it would work on my 2018 Chevy Silverado. However it is difficult to get locked in place and even though the lock mechanism in the "locked" position I can sometimes remove it from the "locked position" by hand on the locking side of the cap. When unlocked it is still quite difficult to get the fixed tab to come loose from the filler neck; I have to wiggle it around and more or less force it off the fixed tab. Thus this cap is difficult to get properly locked in place, is not very secure and is difficult to remove once unlocked.Disappointed in this "Genuine GM Part" will attempt to return it.

Great alternative
I didn't like that my new truck didn't have a gas cap and not a locking gas door. So I thought I look on Amazon to see what I can find. This is absolutely the best alternative. You just never know these days with the economy and poverty. Without a way to keep you gas protected, you are open to anyone to siphon your gas or an jealous person to pour something in your tank.
