Great deal! A set of 4 for the price of 2. I ordered the 55mm, 70mm was a small amount more. I matched them up with a pair of new Kenda 26" mtb tires. The smaller 55mm worked flawlessly and were dead quiet. I normally use the 70mm for best grip, but was out of them at the time, so I used the 55mm in a pinch, since the bike was being used by a fly-weight, (adolescent) and was quite impressed on how well they held. XLC makes good bike components at reasonable prices. IMO these brake pads are as good if not better then most of the oem parts out there.

Had to replace my brake pads on my old Schwinn Sierra as the old pads were wearing out my new wheels. The wear on the rims was alarming and I didn't realize the damage the old pads was doing. These pad are easy to install and have a bit of a curve to them making the rim contact more uniform when applying the brakes. They have notches on the arms to help align the pads equally on each side when installing. The cost is also very reasonable.

I've only had them short term.Update 3/8/16:I've taken the bike with the XLC pads to the trails. They had broken in on the road and I decided to take them out to an easy loop that I do just to warm up.I also decided to test their power whilst going down a 40 ft descent (not a rock garden, just like a really steep fire road) and it was really hard to slow myself down (note that I'm only 120 lbs. and that I was going like 20 mph).However, the brakes were adequate on the flat areas. They do stop me during my commutes.I recommend them for recreational use (which I mostly use with this certain bike). I train and race XC MTB with my other high end hard tails, so just take it from me.Overall, the pads stop well enough for recreational use and are extremely affordable.

I re-furbished an older mountain bike and needed new brake pads... I did had a bit of difficult with adjustment options with the pads while mounting, but they do the good job at a reasonable price! Would recommend!

These work well but the bolt that comes with it was too short for my brakes

I purchased these after paying a bike shop $30 to install new brake pads in the rear. Those lasted only 2 months! The guy at the bike shop kept telling me how tricky it was to properly install these type of brakes. It took me exactly 10 minutes, and I have never installed brakes before (I watched a YouTube video). I've had them for 3 months now and they are only slightly worn down. Basically, I paid $4 instead of $30 and saved myself a trip to the shop (including several days without my bike). I also have 2 spare for when I need to replace them again.

I use my bike to commute and am still using these 6 years later! I think I'm on the second set by now.but I can't remember for sure....

Brake pads. What's to say. They replaced the originals on my Trek 820. Fit was good, easy to install.
