Genuine Hyundai 31010-3L600 Fuel Filler Cap Assembly

The original cap wasn’t working, and this low-cost replacement solved the problem quickly. It is of good quality and fit.

Perfect fit, more expensive than generic, but fixed my code.

Fits my 2014 accent perfectly. This cap and a purge control valve also available on Amazon has made the gas icon that appears on dash everytime I fill up lately gone.

Needed a replacement and this was the perfect fit. What else can I say? It does the job and my check engine light doesn't come on throwing false codes.

Form and fit good so far. As for functionality...To be Determined if it seals correctly and throws no OCDB codes related to gas cap. Quality of item is excellent...Shipping and delivery was good. Used on a 2016 Hyundai Elantra as the original seem not to 'click' anymore.

Since the day I bought my Tucson some five years ago I would get an annoying check engine light every few months indicating that my gas cap was loose. I would then go to the dealer, get the light turned off, and carry on ... until a couple months ago. The check engine light became persistent, coming on again only a couple days after the code was cleared. So I decided to purchase this gas cap since it is allegedly a genuine Hyundai part. Problem solved. No more check engine light issues. I suspect my original gas cap was slightly defective or its O ring had a tiny nick since day one that eventually worsened.Other thoughts:1) It took a very long time for the product to be delivered. USPS was used, and it was early December. So the problem wasn't with the seller. In fact the seller was quite responsive to e-mail.2) Removing the old gas cap took a few minutes. It seems like the rubber tether got stiff and perhaps a bit swollen over the years. It took some effort, I used a screw driver and pliers, to remove it. It took only a second to pop on the new one. Anyway, don't attempt to remove the old gas cap by hand. You will at least need pliers and a firm, steady hand.Bottom line: if your Hyundai is getting a check engine light because of a small vapor leak I do recommend buying this gas cap as a potential easy, cheap fix.

Save a trip to the dealer. This is the new replacement gas cap for many Hyundai and Genesis cars. It is a genuine OEM part number 31010-3L600 (see photos of packaging). The cap fit perfect and installed in under 5 minutes. The image of my old cap and the new cap is part of this review, the new cap is on the left and the old cap is on the right. Removing the cap strap was not challenging it came right out when I used a needle nose pliers. Simply put it under the strap and pull up and it will come right off (see image). Saved about $6 on the part and a trip to the dealer for the exact same gas cap.
