Caught me off guard
This was a great read. I enjoy books that leave me guessing and this one did. So many books are uncomplicated and I figure them out before I am halfway through the book. This was a very suspenseful page turner.

a plot twist worth the read.
The begging is somewhat boring, but if you manage to stay engaged the story gets better and the plot twists are worth the time.

Too much going on
I felt like the story had too many twists. The author could have picked 2-3 things and just stuck to that. Too much going on but it was a decent read.

Fans of B.A. Paris might want to grab this one up!
Great start to a series. The Perfect Wife is one of those books that I had a difficult time putting down. I even found myself grabbing it to read while I was cooking dinner. There were some great twists in this one!Fans of B.A. Paris would probably really enjoy this one!

Well paced.
Well paced, establishes a backstory for Jessie, who will clearly be the series protagonist.Jessie is a good combination of damaged, scrappy, smart and vulnerable.Bolton is a good “Hannibal Lector” type (although too many of the scenes are so clearly ripped off from Silence of the Lambs, that the author doesn’t even bother to hide it!). He will be a good recurring character.Juicy enough to keep me reading.
