Great knife
Great blade, handle and lock. Very impressed. Quality not reflected in price. Highly recommended!

GREAT VALUE FOR$$$$BUTTTT…
Great value for money super and I mean super strong lockback and plus a little stiff which is goodSomewhat sharp for a factory blade edge. But SUPER ugly reddish wood grain (forgot to take a picture )Pictures are from my own stain I bought 100% better and recommend, if you don’t like the wood stain as well and you can chose other satinsThe one I used was ( American chestnut )

Great little working knife at a fair price!
Nothing fancy, just a sharp hawkbill blade which is well suited for harvesting anything you grow. Espescially my grapes. Cheers!

Well made, solid knife; you get more knife than you pay for.
It is solidly built for under $8. I especially liked the solid lockup. The blade came sharp and evenly ground. Opens easily and closes with a snap. No half stop. As a no-frills work knife, this is perfect--except a few faults: the bolster has a hairline crack; one wood scale has a gap before the bolster; the other wood scale is cracked where the brass pin is, next to the bail. But these cracks are negligible, and are not loose. Minus one star for these flaws, but overall very nice work knife and the price.

Give it a good workout
Not to bad for price. My Klein broke tip off yrs ago after dropping it. I made it work so I see this copy because the new Kleins are removable blade type not a big fan of, so I did about 50 12Ga Romex jobs still holding up. Steel has more flex in it then the old Hawk blade maybe that’s a hood thing. I have every splitter made, still like my knife

Solid Working Tool, Good Value, Useful Features
2016: A good all-around pruning or box cutting blade. Folds, but locks open, a plus. A little stiff to unlock and close, but not a major issue. I carefully sharpened the blade to a steeper (sharper) angle than is typical for a garden blade and it has held up well enough. I appreciate the wood handle aesthetics; the edges of some parts are a little blockier than one would want for a display or presentation piece -- but it is a good solid working knife.EDIT 2024: all the above continues to be true, although over the years, the stiffness of the blade locking eases a little. I have bought a total of about 10 of these over the years, either as gifts for gardeners or to put in various working spaces. Still remains an excellent tool. Like it so well, I have one or two still in boxes in case I need one more. I want to give one to somebody.

Lock is extremely hard to unlock in order to close knife. VERY DANGEROUS!
The knife itself seems sharp and sturdy, however, in order to close the knife (which I still haven't been able to do for fear of the knife snapping down onto my fingers!), it's close to impossible to do. The lock is extremely hard to hold down and b/c of the position of where it's located and how the knife closes, there is a high chance the blade can come down onto your fingers as you are holding the lock open... I returned it... Also, another thing I didn't like was that on the box it came in was a "Warning: Cancer & Reproductive Harm" warning... what's up with that? why? it must be the "wooden" handle that has some chemicals in it..? idk, but that definitely isn't any bonus to this knife... so unfortunate... plus, it's made in China, so maybe that explains the "harmful" warning... ::SMH::

Very cheaply made
Definitely won’t last. Not made with quality by any means. Also not very sharp out of the box
