Excellent Results
I can remember first taking COQ10 in the 1990s to "speed up my mind" during University exam periods. In those days it came in 10mg tablets and was incredibly expensive. Today I take a 300mg ubiquinol tablet that costs about the same price as these 100mg tablets for 60. Ubiquinol was the best form of COQ10, as it was the most absorbable until I found this product. As I have gotten older I have suffered from stress and insomnia. This has led to adrenal fatigue, brought on by too much travel, time zones, insomnia, and just general stress. I am also in that category of high risk when it comes to heart issues. My entire family has had heart problems. So, I have tried to change my lifestyle, my food, and my supplementation. I have started once again taking COQ10 for its heart protection properties and its ability to possibly protect cells from oxidative stress. I also take Ashwagandha and Schisandra to help with adrenal fatigue. This combination has helped and I do feel far more relaxed and contented within myself. So back to this product. They are expensive, given the competition but the competition is not as absorbable. This delivers a really high dose amount of COQ10, and it is in its most potent form. The effect is very good and I certainly feel more energetic, less stressed, and happier in myself. This is an excellent product, it works very well, it is just a bit overpriced compared to my other brand.

NOT SUCH A HUGE NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE BUT IMPORTANT COMPOUNDS
This Ubiquinol Coq10 Max from Healthspan is quite high in price. Is it worth it? Here are my results. The argment behind this product is basically like saying the best form of Vitamin C is liposomal and there is increased absoroption. I have not been particularly well this month with continuous infections and fortunately not the C word. So I have been using this for one month and vitamin C.To be honest I cannot see the value in this for a reasonably healthy male in his 30s.I have worked out for 15 years and using supplements for 15 years too. I believe in looking after oneself and i take this very seriously. This has decent low priced compunds in it and the most expensive is the Q10. Q10 usually stands in at £7-10 per bottle and ubiquinol however has really catapulted this price to the sky with the effectiveness at it. If we examin what CoQ10 does as an antioxidant I am not sure if £35 per month can justify this for this one compound. I would argue that you need this more as an athlete and not as a normal person since you are creating a lot more byproducts by burning more ATP and having more lactic acid exposure. There are worse things you can spend money on but I do not think that if you are a normal human and only an older person above 50 or very heavily active athlete that either boxes or mixed martial arts or other competitive sport that this is worth investing in.

Highly debatable whether these do any good
One key component of this is Vitamin B1, which can be found easily enough in grains and vegetables, with some found in some meat, and the other is Vitamin C, which obviously you can get from all sorts of things, most notably fruit, so providing that you are eating properly you are unlikely to be deficient in it.The other key component is the co-enzyme Q12 which is regarded as being of general benefit to counteract a range of conditions that may affect the heart, such as angina and similar, but again there is a lack of substantive proof on this.It may be the case that for those who have actually reported generally 'feeling better' or 'more energetic' it may have been simply the psychological boost of taking a pill, an effect often seen in placebos.I certainly experienced no real benefits. On the other hand, Q12 can interact quite markedly negatively with a range of very common prescription drugs for high blood pressure and for drugs to thin the blood, so if you take any of these you should be extremely careful and ask your doctor before taking these.

Not for me, but that doesn't mean its not for you
Ubiquinol Max is a combination supplement containing CoQ10, vitamins B, C and E in various forms as well as magnesium and fish oil.So is this an 'all in one' replacement for my usual daily supplements? After taking them for one week I have to say no it isn't.I regularly take CoQ10 (as Ubiquinone) as a precaution as I have cardiovascular disease.I also take a high dose omega 3 supplement. My usual supplements provide me with 1220mgs EPA, 880mgDHA and 100mg Ubiquinone daily via 2 separate supplements, and I also take a B complex and magnesium and potassium (which I do notice a difference if I don't take them and develop arrhythmia which would otherwise need prescription medication to control)This supplement provides CoQ10 as Ubiquinol.I did a very quick google search on the difference between the 2 forms: Which is better ubiquinone or ubiquinol? It seems that theres no general consensus on which is better, and during the normal metabolic process "coenzyme Q10 is naturally converted from ubiquinol to ubiquinone—and back again—as it does its job of sparking energy production."( Dr Stephen Sinatra, Cardiologist)So please take the time to do your research. These type of combination supplements make it difficult for me to control the doses of the various ingredients that I already take separately.I prefer a much higher dose of fish oil for heart health than is contained in this formula and don't feel the need to further supplement vitamins B, E and C.I am very careful with magnesium and potassium supplements and like to be able to control the dose and keep it down to the minimum required to prevent arrhythmia, so the added magnesium here is a complication. One months supply of Ubiquinol Max for £35.99 seems to be very expensive to me, and without attempting a lengthly breakdown of the cost of my usual supplements I think its safe to say that they don't cost me over an pound a day combined, as I tend to buy large quantities which last me a long time.So this supplement isn't going to make it into my non-negotiables.Be sure to check compatibility and apply due diligence before taking any supplements as they may interact with your usual medication. If you think that CoQ10 may be of benefit you this product might be a suitable option for you even though it's not for me.
