Dimensions Gold Collection Counted Cross Stitch Kit, Girl at the Beach, 18 Count White Aida, 5'' x 7''

I recently started to stitch this kit, and I am not happy with the thread colors, especially the skin tone colors. The little girl's back, legs and upper arms are very dark, not as shown on the package. I am considering ripping out the skin areas I already stitched and replacing with other thread. This is a very unusual problem in my experience of counted cross stitch.Update December 16 - I have continued to stitch this kit, and I have to say that the entire scene uses darker thread colors than shown in the picture. It is still attractive but not nearly as much as the original depiction. For example, the sky appears like fluffy clouds in the picture with the kit, but in reality using the thread that was supplied, it looks like a storm is coming. I will finish the piece, but I might have to leave the finished piece out in direct sunlight for a couple months to get it to fade down to a better color shade.

Nice kit. Lots of variations of thread number, half stitch, and full stitch to give the finished product a 3D effect.

The thread that came with this kit was old & deteriorating. Made it hard to finish with the floss breaking all the time

The kit had been opened and it was missing a needle. A kit should be complete. Very disappointed.

this was beautiful when completed. Recommend it highly for a cross stitch.

This pattern was fairly easy to stitch and turned out to be really pretty once it was finished. It came with plenty of thread in each color so I had some of each left over, which I like in case I mess up and have to pull some threads out and re-do a section.

Is not for beginners but is absolutely beautiful. I’ve been doing it for a month now and still have a bit to go. I truly love it!
