This did help train my kitten not to walk on or jump up on areas that are unsafe for her to be. It wasn't pleasant for her to figure out that area was pokey... but she knows better than to jump up on the areas where the mats are.Also, they're very east to cut to length or shape.

The spikes are hard and sharp. Definitely keeps the animals off the sofa finally! Our male cat would NOT stop peeing on the sofa. There is nothing wrong with him, but once it starts he won't stop. I've been using these for a week now and not ONCE have I come home to them being moved off or the sofa peed on. They are easy to just stack up and take off when we use the sofa and quick to put back on. Super happy with them. Sure they are sharp and might hurt the animals if they step on them, but isn't that the whole point? Keep them off?

We let our dogs on the patio in the furniture but not in the living room. It’s been fine for many years but as my Old English Bulldog got older, he decided to rebel and start getting on the couch and chair in the living room. We tried soda cans with cojns, putting other things on the couch but he would just knock them down and be comfy! He knocked these off once but kept putting it back and now he has conceded!!! If we forget to put them on, he’s right back up but he knows it’s not worth the effort! Gave 4 stars vs 5 because the points do easily smash down if you accidentally sit on it (yes…ouch!) so I’m sure I’ll have to eventually replace. But still worth it! I like to lay them more like chevron and intertwine them landscape then portrait alternating so a little hangs over the edge of the couch so they can be easily seen from my dogs angle from the floor BEFORE he jumps up!

Avoid purchasing this item for your pets, despite any positive reviews you may have encountered. They are far from humane in their design. My initial expectations were for a pet-friendly product, perhaps made of soft rubber or featuring rounded tips to ensure safety. However, I was sorely disappointed when I discovered that they are constructed from rigid plastic with exceptionally sharp points.Even handling these cones while they were still in their packaging resulted in an injury, as one of the cones punctured my finger with ease. Now, envision the consequences of a pet, be it a cat or a dog, leaping onto these unforgiving cones. Considering the weight of a fully grown cat or even a puppy, the risk of them injuring their paw pads is alarmingly high.Furthermore, picture a scenario where your beloved pet jumps onto these cones, suffers a foot injury, loses balance, and topples over. The sheer force of their body weight could potentially cause these razor-sharp cones to penetrate their delicate sides or bellies, leading to severe harm.If you genuinely care for your pet's well-being and safety, I strongly advise against purchasing these items. They pose a significant threat to your pet's health and are far from a humane choice.

We have 2 cats & one of them is extremely persistent about being on the kitchen table. These 8 sheets are very effective in stopping her antics. Yes, the points are sharp. That’s the reason I purchased this product. Not to be cruel, to stop unwanted behavior. They are thin. I taped two together, end-to-end, and I hang them on the wall when they are not in use. My table is 4’ x 4’ and these 8 sheets cover the perimeter just fine. I don’t worry about the middle of the table because the cat can’t get to it with these things in place. She hasn’t figured out how to move them out of the way yet. They’re lightweight and intimidating without injuring her. Eight of these for $16 means they're $2 each and by far the cheapest, most effective deterrent I've tried. They’re worth it to me. And they shipped fast, so win-win!

These got the job done, but there are several attributes I don’t like or have seen done better by other brands.1. The plastic is such a flimsy and weak quality that the spikes are actually MUCH sharper than the more expensive alternatives I’ve used. Think getting 20 splinters at once. Other brands are more like moderate discomfort (think sitting on gravel). These are excessively sharp.2. Why are they clear? I knew that when I bought them, but that was before I knew how sharp these things are! If they’re going to actually make you bleed, they should at least be visible to my pets or any unsuspecting (and unfortunate) humans.These probably cost all of 80 cents to manufacture, so paying anything over $5 is crazy. They’re about the same type and quality of plastic you’d get from a to-go cup at a fancy restaurant. They’ve accomplished keeping my pets off the couch, but I’ll be looking for a less torturous alternative going forward.

I’ve been using this product for a few months now, and it has fit my needs perfectly. I like that they stack and are easy to store. They are also durable. But most importantly, it keeps my dog and cat off the furniture. Definitely worth the money.

My adorable dog would sit on the couch while we were away at work. Would never had known with adding our pet cam. We added these and she never attempted to climb on again. Well worth the purchase.
