Philips Norelco HQ9 SpeedXL Replacement Heads

This brought my old shaver back to like-new performance.

I tem was as described, fast shipping & good packaging. Like being able to have it delivered.

These blades arrived promptly with package in good condition. When I opened these I noticed that the new guard screens do not have the plastic glides for the blades that the original guards had. When I installed and tried to shave with the new blades I immediately noticed these do not shave nearly as well as my old blades I have used for 4 years, (I know the box says I should change them out every year). I kept getting snagged and it took me at least 4 times longer to shave my face with these new blades and even after all that time I have more noticeable stubble than I had before. I thought I should go ahead and spend the $40.00 and get the actual Phillips/Norelco replacements instead of the knock-offs but this time it did not pay. I wish I knew how to get replacements for the actual blades that came on my shaver, they worked great, but I guess this is how Phillips/Norelco gets you to buy a new shaver. Too bad my next one will not be a Phillips/Norelco.

I have used Norelco electric shavers with dual track heads for the past 20-30 years never knowing there was a better option. After our Dad passed away in 2012 my siblings gave me his rechargeable Norelco with triple track heads which my oldest brother had given Dad as a gift many years before.As far as I know, the heads had never been changed until I noticed a pinch a few weeks ago while using it and found that one of the heads was wearing through. These Original replacements were located on Amazon at a fraction of the cost of replacing the razor and I think of Dad every time I use it.The razor still holds a charge for 2-4 weeks and I would suggest Norelco to every man who needs a great shave.

I paid extra for the OEM version at a premium price. They work better but are definitely not as sharp as the original blades. I am 50/50 whether I would buy again.

I always buy authentic replacement blades for my Norelco and they work great. I tried knock offs once and sent them back. These blades are great. I change them once a year.
