I was looking for an exterior wood filler that accepts stain to use on my fence. I ordered and tested several products and found Minwax to be the best. It was easy to work with - it has a good consistency that fills holes and is easy to smooth and sand afterwards. Other products were too soupy or grainy. Afterwards I used a Behr water-based stain on the filler and it blended in very, very well. I had tried making my own filler using sawdust, clear wood glue, and some stain, but it didn't work as well. I will continue to use Minwax for future filler needs, especially when I need a stain.

I did my whole living room floor. Have an old wood and whoever nailed them didn’t have a system. They never covered the nails either. So I did. It’s rather light but I used magic maker. To color the correct color. Lot of work but it was fun

If you have any problems reading mouse print. You will not be able to read what’s on back of tube. If you have arthritis or any hand strength problems you may need help opening tube. They could put larger print instructions in the clamshell it comes in. Or use a screw top for lid. Added: product may be old; neighbor got lid off, but filler would not squeeze out. Don’t waste money on this.
