M1 Carbine Sling Oiler & Buttstock Type Pouch OD Green Marked JT&L 1944

Holds two mags and is a good sling for my M1 Carbine. I really like the design and keeping it true to the original made in the old days

Now Granted I used this item in a way unintended but it works swell!.I put it on the stock of My new M4 Carbine well it fit OK tho there are 3 ways to install.1.Take a wrench and remove your slider or fixed buttstock and then re place!.2. Lash it to the stock with para cord (easiest way)...3. Or just fasten to the Rifle/Carbine sling which works ok too..OK once installed this pouch can be used in Myrad Ways, As myself I just took a Xacto Knife and slit openthe main section as it leaves enough room to stuff 1 loaded 20round mag w a bit of room for some loose cartridges.In a pinch if slid side ways this pouch will hold 1 loaded AR15 Mag and 1 loaded Glock 19 Mag in 9mm!.Right now I just Carry 1 loaded Ar Mag some loose rounds, And a M1 Carbine oil bottle,.So that is what works for me but take that as a 'Starting Point' as this pouch,Oiler and Sling are quality items and if used properly will help to aid and enhance any Rifle/Carbine....Its up to your Needs/Imagination as how it will benefit you.....Pros: Sling, Pouch and Oiler are top grade items.Items work well!.And like most of Amazons goods are a Great Bargain for the Money!!.Cons:I didnt see these items sooner?????.Have to dismount stock to do a full 'Butt Shock' install.....A Neat Item and in truth I like it better then the official issue gear !.A Happy Camper!IndianaED.....

This was purchased for a Chiappa M1-9 carbine. The pouch looks good but is too short for Beretta M9 magazines. The sling looks good if you want an authentic look, but it's basically worthless for anything but carrying the rifle over your shoulder or making a hasty rap to stabilize the rifle while firing. I knew this already but thought I could maybe modify the sling for more practical use. I will probably purchase five feet of olive drab webbing, and modify the pouch with velcro so it can be used. I currently am using 5 feet of nylon webbing and two black plastic tensioners I purchased from Walmart for less than $5 - it works great, but it doesn't look as good as an original style sling. So if you would like an authentic looking M1 carbine, this is a good purchase. If you want to turn your World War II battle rifle into a modern day tactical weapon that is not an AR, purchase a quick adjustable 2-point sling.I ripped the seams out of the 30 Cal Mag pouches and slid the straps of my Molle mag pouch through. I also used 5 feet of OD webbing and made a nice working sling.

Installs quickly and easily. I removed the snap to prevent damage to myself stock. Looks cool

I purchased this for my grandson. It wasn't an original it was a copy but he was happy with it anyway. Now he can put the two magazines in it and attach it to his BB gun. Little pricey for a copy. Material they used was identical to the originals right down to the markings and the snap. If you want to copy I recommend.

Mag pouch is of decent construction for the price. The oiler is cheap and made in India, the sling is made of good material but the brass fastners are some sort of cheap brass and wont hold making it pretty much useless to us.

I purchased several "reproduction" items from several different places (for more money) that had many obvious flaws - not this set, it was exactly what I was hoping for, and completely met my needs!! I would buy this again for sure -- very well made, very good quality - fits and "looks" like I expect :)
