1 gal Modern Masters VP200 Tint Base Venetian Plaster Water-Based Acrylic Venetian Plaster

I will never faux a Venetian Plaster look again. This is a great product. The texture is amazing, and it does look and feel like a natural stone slab. I wish I did the another two rooms last winter. The price increased 25% but i will still use it this year. Do one wall at a time, and it has a small learning curve on how to apply it. It might take some searching to find someone to tint it. You need to go to a professional paint store. And the big box stores do not have a clue. I wish Modern Masters offered a service to tint it. I did use a command hook to hang the clock but the plaster separated from the original plastered wall. Use a nail hang pictures.

This is how I received my can of Venetian plaster this afternoon. The photo doesn’t show the thick glob both on the box and on the can. The can is not able to close and about a quarter of the Venetian plaster was wasted. This is a very expensive product and was carelessly delivered. I need the product and now I’m not sure I’ll have enough to complete my project since the holidays iOS just around the corner and I can’t return the damaged gallon because it won’t close. What do I do? Ordered this before with no problem...

Good material

I’ve worked with nine different brands of Venetian Plaster and this brand, Modern Masters Venetian Plaster, goes much further, therefore less expensive, than any brand I’ve tried. It’s very easy to work. Does not dry too fast. Is available in some paint stores Like Dunn Edwards. They match it to any color you want but prefer you choose from a Dunn Edwards color because it’s easier and faster for them to make. It’s a lot of work making This Venetian Plaster shiny by sanding which is the only way other than using wax which is the way I recommend. With the most venetian plaster is we make it shiny by burnishing it while it’s still damp. That does not work with this brand which is very unfortunate. But, know that the wax makes the Venetian Plaster about 20% darker which I think is shown by the photograph I posted. And, I’ve used their Venetian Plaster that I’ve had sitting on a shelf for 10 years and it still performs beautifully. The wax that I recommend the most is Hydrowax made by Meoded in Los Angeles.
