Holds Up Well
This worked out well for an engine project that we had. We put it on as a base coat, and then put the correct red engine paint on over top of it. Before the top coat was put on some transmission fluid dripped on it and it didn't harm the paint at all. After full assembly and an initial run of the engine everything still looks good

Good primer
Good heat paint primer. I used it on a motorcycle engine. Worked as expected

Great Adhesion and Base for High Temp Applications
This primer holds up well for high heat applications. Used it before topcoat on an engine project and it's been holding up very well. I feel like modern spray cans are very prone to the nozzle failing though have not had trouble with Rustoleum Engine Primer to date.

Perfect for making your crap box look, well less crappy
Every valve cover, air filter housing, or engine component that comes off my vehicle covered in oil will no longer be an old oily part. It shall be an old colored oily part now. Thanks rustoleum!

Used on motorcycle mufflers
Decided to black out my Harley Sportster and got this primer and some black as well. It took about 1.5 cans to do 3 coats on 2 mufflers with a lite sanding between each coat. Then 4 coats of black over the top. I think it turned out pretty darn good for a first timer. As long as you shake the heck out of the cans first and test spray off to the side before each coat you shouldn't get any globs on your project. You also want to run the engine for a while after your last coat to bake the paint on. The paint held all summer no chipping or melting. Just a little discoloration/fading near the head pipes which is be expected. This project easily saved me several hundred dollars on new exhaust and I'm happy with the results.

Great high temp primer. Used it on some engine parts. Make sure to clean the area well first and scuff a little before application!
