2012 Jeep Liberty - Perfect Replacement for Gas Cap - Fixed Engine Light On Due To "Emissions Leak" code (caused by loose seal on cap)My gas cap was getting pretty worn out from years of ramming that thick round shaft in and out of the hole of the tank and filling it up with load after load of petroleum. I finally realized I simply was not satisfied with the worn out cap, and decided to upgrade, and boy am I glad I did. This fuel tank cap is significantly more firm and just fits in the hole so much more snug, you know, just the right amount of tightness. I don't think I could be more satisfied with my purchase. It actually makes me enjoy getting gas again! So if you're not satisfied with your current situation, upgrade to a newer one and get back to filling your tank 😊

My 2013 Jeep Wrangler failed its state inspection due to the old gas cap. For $20, I could buy a new one from the company, or I could bring it back with a new gas cap. Like many others, I paid for the gas cap. About two weeks later, my check engine light went on. It needed a NEW gas cap. (For the record, the Jeep never tossed a check engine light before the inspection, but it should also be noted that the company ran the test and it did fail, so I'm not trying to imply the company cheated me with the failed test.)I still needed a new gas cap. Really deoends.. Didny fit my jeep. Careful on 2000 and earlier... Goto a parts store and get your part. Get the key entry one. Trust me

I bought this gas cap to replace my original cap on my 2013 Wrangler. I was getting the gascap error and this fixed it. Still haven't been able to get the tether attached correctly, but the cap works great.

This cap was tested by an auto mechanic right after I purchased it and it leaked air. Don't buy it or you may get a check engine light warning.

I kept getting a "Gas Cap" message the I started my Jeep, I cleaned the old cap, reinserted it and the problem went away until... one day the check engine light came on. I decided to order a new cap. This one came next day, I put it on my Jeep and the light has not come on since.
