Review for MTG Hereos Version of this product
*If you want my quick thoughts on this see bottom*Ok here we go, I have played magic on the computer for a while now and am a huge fan, and decided that it is time that I get myself some physical cards. So I ordered lots of m14 as it comes out next week. While searching I found these 1000+ boxes, and I said what the hell i will try it out. This product was a open package with cards stuffed wrapped in two plastic bags ... things did not look good. No cards were damaged and maybe 6 of them fell out because I received 996 but thats no big deal ... still a lot of damn cards. Here is what I ended up with 319 "other year" cards ... and 667 cards from gatecrash. I was really pleased by this because I can use these in standard decks! So to sum what I got and duplicates up quick, first off only commons and uncommons ... and I say it is about 2/3 common. The most creature duplicates were 7 and those were from gatecrash which I had 70+ cards of each color. I got 117 keyrune 72 gaterunes and nearly 200 of the multicolored cards (in total about 12 different cards). The red and green from gatecrash though are totally worth it! I got lots of good stuff that I will use in matches, not mention the other multicolored cards as well. For the other sets (there four other notable block sets) There was only two 5 repeats and 1 6 repeat. I am extremely happy. So in the end, yes I got repeats, some around 30 cards, but these are cards I put in all my decks so it really makes since to get the copies I did of the extra ones.Lastly, I got 14 unlimited cards in my set. It is not like they worth a bunch or anything but they are pretty cool to have.*All in all, for a player that had no cards prior to this, this was an awesome investment. It gave me a nice base for cards to use this year in standard. With a few booster packs I will have many nice decks ready to go and to have with me. For 20.00 this was a good investment, not only for the modern but also for some of the old cards that really are complete decks minus lands and a few rare cards! If you are not into older cards/collecting, have tons of magic cards (modern day), or are looking for a cheap way to get rares/mythic rares this is not for you. If you are a beginner and don't have many base card (cheap to cast, instants, keys, gates, etc..), like to collect cards, or just have 20.00 to spend this is a great and fun thing to do. I will be ordering again soon!

Cheap, Quick, and Painless way to get back into MTG or grow your existing collection!
I'm not sure why some of the other reviewers had such bad luck. The cards I received were 100% in mint, brand new condition. There were some duplicates, but little land to speak of , which is good. I didn't count my cards as some others have, but the colors were very balanced after sorting. Did I have any $10 cards in there? No, probably not. As a returning MTG player, (returning circa 2001), who no longer has ANY cards and wants to teach and play with his wife and kids, this set is an amazing deal. 100% English cards, ranging from 1996 to 2016, yes 2016. There were quite a few artifact and artifact creature cards, along with enough of a variety of non-land cards to make at least 10 decent starter decks. If you guys thought you were going to be playing the pro circuit with one of these boxes, you should move back in with your parents and lower your expectations, because life is probably going to be disappointing for you. If you want to get back into MTG quickly, or if you just want to add to your existing collection quickly and cheaply, you really can't go wrong with one of these boxes. Literally, in 2000, I bought the beatdown box set for $45 and I couldn't have made nearly as many decent decks with that as I can with this <$14 box. This box costs less than I used to pay for what?...5 booster packs? Heck buy this box so your friends who want to start playing won't get into your "good card" stash. There are a million different reasons why you SHOULD be buying this box or randoms, and I honestly cannot think of any reasons why you shouldn't.

You'll get 1000 cards, but...
So, the one thing that does hold up about this product is that you DO get 1000 cards and they are technically magic: the gathering cards, but they are NOT what you expect nor want.I have ordered 3 different orders of this product, 2 for myself and 1 for a friend, and they all have nearly 6-20 duplicates of every card. That itself is somewhat frustrating because, (assuming about an average of 10 duplicates of each card), you are only actually getting about 100 different cards. Moreover, the majority of these cards are VERY old. None of these cards will be legal for tournament usage, which is ok for me, but in the 1000 cards you get TOKENS and worse, PROMOTIONAL CARDS. In each order there were filler token and promotional cards which are NOT real cards. There was nearly 20 in each order and, admittedly, out of a 1000 that doesn't seem bad but those are not real cards. It is very frustrating. The best you will get out of these 1000 cards is an uncommon so don't bother hoping to get something good out of this "deal". Just get booster packs.EDIT: Thought I'd add on to this review a little bit in light of recent events with customer support. Let me be clear, I've ordered this product twice now, the first time I ordered two and the second time I ordered 1. The first time, my product was nearly a week late because the package got lost which wasn't too bad, they added in a few rares however the problems originally stated still plagued the product. However, this third time, the product was on time but I got way too many tokens and such and instead of helping, apologizing, or compensating, the customer support team decided to argue with me that, even though the product wasn't as advertised, it was still worth the price I paid for it. Never once did they offer any sort of apology, etc. They simply questioned my review and proceeded to try to convince me that, even though they didn't hold up their end of the bargain, that the product was STILL worth the price. Pathetic. Please, if you want to buy cards in bulk, buy it from someone else. You'll be much better off.
