Excellent novelty toy for kids and adults!
The media could not be loaded. This is such a unique toy design that has some very cool mechanics. It will please those who like to fidget with objects, and appeal to kids of all ages. Really, this is the only toy to get children if they like cars, or like playing with objects that they can manipulate with their hands! I got Sparklz and it will move around for about 17 seconds if you wind it all the way. The sparks can really fly, but no worries as it doesn’t hurt any hands or fingers. The toy is all metal except for the tires, which are the only plastic parts. Overall, This is a solid toy that could last a lifetime and even be an heirloom to pass on to future posterity.

I keep buying these for myself, but end up giving them to my grandchildren who love them!
These are creative, well made and apparently too fascinating for my own greedy good. I've bought a batch of these. My grandchildren, who specialize in seeing how fast something can be destructed, keep playing with them and make it clear that grandpa should consider giving them away. I can't resist them, so I do give them away and keep having to buy replacements.Every one of these I have or had, including those I've given to my demolitionist grandchildren still work. I kind of wish a few would break so they wouldn't be so fascinating to them. These are really decent, quality toys, especially considering the reasonable selling price.I'll have to hide any new ones I buy, at least for a while, so I can get to play with them!

FUN FUN FUN! Great for your office desk, or your child
These little gear box wind-up toys (you can watch all of the action as it takes place - the toy has an "open" build) are soooo much fun. My son and I found these toys by Kikkerland while on vacation, and I decided to purchase them from Amazon. "Cranky" isn't as active a toy as several of the others in this series, but he can hold note cards, business cards, photos, etc., which makes it fun for a desk. My only recommendation to the company would be to consider adding a timer to Cranky... how cool would it be to have Cranky go off, and the note he is "holding" is the reminder for your next call or meeting? I really wish the photo of Cranky showed better colors. For example, my Cranky has red rubber feet and a bright yellow windup key. Very snappy! All of the keys and feet differ between the individual toys, so you never know what you'll get.I bought two of the more active toys for my 8 y.o. son (Awika and Cosmojetz), and they've been a big success! I only recommend the toys for responsible children who do not beat up or abuse their toys. These are not Mattel or Playskool toys, but cool and fun? Yep, way more unusual and cool than your average toy. Recommended!

Fun, fun, fun!
I love these Kikkerland toys. They require no batteries, are very creatively designed and unlike anything else I've seen. Children and pets love to watch them crawl around too! This wind up toy is well made out of metal and strong plastic parts (mostly metal). The great thing about them is that you can see inside of the toy and figure out how it works. Its a great example to show children how gears and mechanical things work. I have 4 different wind up toys from Kikkerland and I love them all. This model has flint sparklers that create a very unique effect, especially when you turn out the lights. The wobbly action (intentional) of the wheels makes me think of a little mouse running around. I love the over sized red wind up handle too!

Unique and Interesting Gadget / Toy -- You don't get to choose the colo
Generally speaking, I have a fondness for the old metal windup toys. I've owned another model of this brand of toy and just found it interesting to examine and display on my desk. I think the antennas and the overall idea of a mechanical bug piqued my interest. I think others will want to ask about it. You can argue about the value of the product but it is interesting. Wish I could still select the color but cannot. I believe in the past there was a non-painted model which would have been my preference. I got a light green bodied model which would probably be option #2.

Really cool
It jumps all around like 'Pris', the Replicant in Bladerunner after being shot several times. I'm going to apply to it a small white fright-wig and parcel it up in a Bladerunner picture covered gift box.

Huge hit
Cousin is 11 and he is non verbal and autistic. He is very hard to shop for. He loved this toy. Build great and was easy for him wind up.

Durable little designs that inspire questions
Our boys saw these at a local kid's science museum, and they loved them. They don't get constant play, but both boys (8 and 13) had long talks about how each one moved and why. Every one of these has a different mechanism and method of locomotion, so they're fantastic for getting kids to think about those things. One looked at them in terms of robotics, and the other compared them to insects, topics both of them had recently been studying. The toys look delicate, but for the most part, they are made with heavy gauge wire and stronger windup boxes than most toys. Our younger son literally ripped the box apart and sent his flying, but we couldn't see any damage, and it has worked fine for several months. Smart, rugged, bizarre designs are awesome for kids. Highly recommended!
