2) I used my calipers and the marks for the different measurements are close enough for even the finest details in woodworking
I give it stars because:1) It does, exactly, what I bought it for;2) I used my calipers and the marks for the different measurements are close enough for even the finest details in woodworking;3) It's built well, including that the marks are not going to disappear with frequent use.As pointed out by another/others, the thickness of the gauge means it cannot be used for dead-on readings on interior diameters of small pipes, though there is enough length to the markings you could bevel the edges for to improve readings when taking such measurements, but you'd still be eyeballing, since part of the marks would be missing. However, most of us would be working with pipes of specific inner diameters, so.....

Not bad for the price.
Measurements seem to be slightly off toward the tip, but not bad for the price.

Very handy piece of equipment...
Solid, Inexpensive (not cheap-there is a difference), accurate. Measures gaps in 1/64 increments. Beats the tar out of trying to measure a gap with a tape measure. Delivery was a day sooner than promised. No downsides.

A good value.
The taper gauge is exactly as described, clear markings, sturdy enough for use. I have used it to set gap on new spark plugs and to set clearance on my bicycle front derailleur. A very good value.

OK, not really what i had in mind
These bore guages do not have calibers, only fractions of inches and mm, making it a guess unless the caliber you are looking for is an exact fraction of an inch, e.g. 50 caliber = .50 inches. .44, .38, 32, 28 etc. caliber - no way to know for sure - just guessing. mm is more accurate and yes you could do the coversion, but I should have bought the brass bore gauge from Dixie Gun works or S&S.

Recommend it for evaluation/inspections
It is high quality tools for welding gauge measurements. Recommend it for evaluation/inspections. However it does not provide you with hundredth...so go with electronic one when higher precision is the goal.

It's the same thickness, it was supposed to be tapered from 1mm to 15mm, but it is not
The product don't have tapered thicknesses, it's all one thickness from the 1mm to the 15mm sizes
