Camp knife ?
I beat the hell out of this knife over a camping weekend. I know this is more of a hunting knife rather than a " camp knife " but ppl spend too much time labeling knives. A knife is a tool and you should use it as such. Anyhow I used this knife for a 3 night stay in the woods just to see how it would hold up. I processed all my smaller fire wood with it and I have to say it did great. After batoning with it for 3 days there is zero damage to the blade. The edge is still sharp though I will touch it up b4 I use it again. The only damage on the knife was on the handle. The rubber handle has a few places where it wore from the baton but nothing that hurts itusability, just cosmetic. Overall it's a great knife that will take some abuse if you need it to. Another great USA Buck knife!

Nice small knife, handle rubber grips nicely
Good knife for daily use, the handle is good for smaller hands (purchased for the wife) but still decent for larger hands.I like the rubber handle as it feels secure in the hand.Blade is very sharp and the quality is very good and on par with my other Buck knives.Sheath is nothing special but works fine, overall a good knife and a good value.

Solid EDC
Very well made knife, my daily carry and still holds a sharp enough edge to field dress a deer.

High-quality steel, but I wish the handle were just a teensy bit bigger
S35VN steel, the type used for this blade, is known for its sturdiness, rust resistance, and edge retention. My only complaint about the steel is that these very qualities, as well as the steel’s thick shape in this blade in particular, make it harder to sharpen than the cheaper steel typically found in kitchen knives. But I was still able, after a couple hours at my water stone, to get a decent edge on this knife. The handle of this knife is really grippy and nice, so that it’s easy to apply a lot of force with this knife. I rip open boxes with ease, in part because of this added grip. But the handle is a bit too small for my liking. I have small hands for a man, yet even I think the handle is on the small side. If the handle were a bit bigger, this knife would be just about perfect in my eyes.Anyway, this is a good knife. Would recommend. It might make the perfect gift for a teenage boy who is into outdoorsmanship and knows how to sharpen knives.

Not a very pretty knife!
A very useful knife!!! I’m beginning to really appreciate buck knives and their 420hc steel. The knife is ugly and looks more like a garden tool rather than a hunting knife. The sheath is also ugly but again very nicely made and well thought out (for hunting) with a removable plastic insert to keep everything clean and sanitary. If the knife had a slightly redesigned handle I think it would be a home run in the crossover category. As it is now it’s just an awesome general hunting knife. If you want more of a crossover knife the bucklite max 2 large and small are great picks for inexpensive multi roll usage (I like the large more for outdoors, but end up doing more chores around the house with the small).

Great for field dressing.
Admittedly, i'm sort of a buck knife fan boy. I have a 119 that i received as a gift. It's just too large for field dressing deer but it looks cool. I bought my son a 102 as his first real knife, that's a great little blade. I'm happy with this knife, and it will be my go to cleaning knife. It lives in my hunting pack. I really like the handle, the blade size and shape is perfect for what i want. I'm not a steel expert, but i've always been happy with the steel buck uses.

Knife collector
This is a great knife made by Buck, very sharp, and the rubberized handle makes for a good grip, over all a great knife, also its full tang which is important in a fixed blade knife
