Works exactly as I hoped. Two seconds to install on a door and it strong enough to hold my messenger bag with stuff inside and a coat. Would buy again.

So minimalist it practically vanishes into your door (esp if it's painted white). Sturdy, metal, functional, no tools needed. BUT it does not extend far down enough for kids to reach. I still have to tiptoe to grab something off it, although It actually sits lower than the "Tosca multi hook" over the door rack.I had no issues with my standard American door in fitting this hook over the top.

I just wish the hook part was longer.

the longer hook should be below the shorter hook.... e.g. coats below a hat... but this is reversed - makes no sense

Please with purchase, replaces old plastic one I had that broke. This will last a very long time. Fits comfortably over my closet door.
