I installed these, one for my front door and the other the back door. It's an older house and the one door has a tendency to want to swing closed by itself, all the while sounding like something out of a horror movie. Sure, I could adjust the hinges and spray some WD40 on them but, I'd lose the character of the old house charm! But seriously, these work just as advertised. I can open the door, and the magnetic striker catches the door perfectly and hold it in place so that we can enjoy the light coming in from the storm door. When the front door is opened all the way its position does not allow it to open to the point that it is flat or parallel with the wall. Even so, the striker plate with the magnetic holder holds the door open perfectly. These are very easy to install, providing the option to use either 2-way adhesive strips which are cut to the dimensions of the two pieces or you can use screws. I used the adhesive strips, which I think are 3M, don't hold me to that. and they hold fine. The look nice and feel like good overall qualify. I would recommend these if you need something like this.

On top of that, as of the time that I'm writing this review, there are over 800 ratings on this doorstop. All of that having been said, though, I was impressed enough with this doorstop to want to write a review. So here we go.I'm gonna be honest, I don't really have anything negative to say about this. So it's just going to be a list of things that I liked. First and foremost, this convenient kit for a really reasonable price (only about $12 bucks at the time of review) comes with everything you'll need to get it installed in about five to ten minutes. You have the doorstop, the magnetic plate (for attaching to the door), two adhesive pads, screws, and even drywall anchors.And speaking of installation, it really was super quick. I was a little skeptical, but I opted for the adhesive pads in Lou of using screws. I didn't feel good about putting holes into my baseboard and door. I figured in a worst-case scenario, I might have to do that anyhow, if the adhesive didn't work. That being said, the adhesive, works. I mean, like, it really WORKS. I follow the basic rule of attaching long-term adhesive to something: use a moderate amount of pressure for about 30 to 60 seconds once you've placed the adhesive down on the surfaces do you want to adhere. To make sure the magnetic strike plate and doorstop lined up, I just put the adhesive on each end (where it belongs), then attached the strike plate to the magnet as it normally would in use. Then I lined it up, where I wanted it, and pushed the door against it. The end result was a perfectly lined up doorstop. And I didn’t even have to drill anything!As of this review, I've had this doorstop installed for just under three months. The magnets are really strong, and the adhesive is showing no signs of weakening. This thing has been great. This is a super easy five stars out of five for me. I totally order this over again. In fact, I might do just that as there is another door in our house that needs a doorstop replaced.

This magnetic door stopper has been a game changer! My dad installed it for me, and it’s been amazing. It looks great and works great! I would recommend it. I’m using it in the bathroom and perhaps the humidity from the shower decreased the stickiness of the glue. I ended up using the screws to attach it which was very easy to do and of course quite effective in keeping it in place:)
