The YAXI stPad2 (Black) earpads feature a unique dual-material design combining protein leather and Alcantara to optimize sound reflection and absorption. This results in a more open, spacious audio experience with lighter bass and smoother sound. Their wide, angled opening and spacious internal design provide exceptional comfort, reducing on-ear pressure for extended wear.

Simply Amazing
I dont own a single pair of pads like these. And I have a decent box filled with pads. They have this semi-asymmetrical design on the inside of the pads. The front portion of the interior cup is is solid wall protein leather like the outside of the headphone. While the back half of the interior is a cloth suede like material. This creates an imbalance in the sound pressure, so on and so forth, technical jargon. Simply put, the sound reflects from the front, but dampens in the back. This has the side effect of making the sound feel like its coming from the front. Its angled pads or angled drivers, without having to actually angle the pads or the drivers. But getting back to the actual quality of the earpad itself. They are a bit on the thin and stiff side. If they are memory foam it really doesnt feel like it as they are pretty springy. But this seems like a neccessity. Since they are incredibly thin, it still wants to keep your ear from just pressing flush with the driver, so it stays a bit stiff to give as much distance as possible. Couple this with the angled interior wall makes the inside of the pads feel incredibly roomy. It can take an otherwise very closed pair of headphones and open them up without adding on gigantic pads to them. The only downside to this roomy interior is it makes the the surface area of the pads that presses into you heads actually a bit small, so it can be pretty noticeable to wear at first. It does take some getting used to and breaking in. After a while the material softens up a bit and it doesnt press into your head or cheeks as much. But the sound it helps you headphones have and the roomy feel is something that i absolutely love.Probably not meant for every headphone, but on certain ones its great. If you already have a collection of headphones and pads, this will make a great addition. If you are looking for them for specific headphones, i would get a second opinion from someone who tried them on those headphones first. But honestly, the few ive tried them on have sounded and felt great.

Fantastic Product. But doesn't fit the MV1. Can't knock them any stars for that.
Bought these based on some forums claiming they would fit my Sony MDR-MV1.... THEY DO NOT. Luckily the pads I bought for my MDR-M1's from another brand did fit my MV1 with a bit of stretching. So technically my M1 don't have any pads. So I put these on the M1's and they fit like a dream and feel great. Sound great too. Shame they don't fit the MV1.... maybe the creator of these will make a much larger version (length and width not pad thickness) for the MV1. Can't knock them any Stars for them not fitting my MV1. They never marketed them as doing so. They are marketed for other headphones. But they are very nice.

Makes the headphones way more agressive on the MDR-7506
So everybody talks about these on the cd900st, but I don't have those. The mids pop, the highs sizzle, and the bass? oh my god, don't get me started on the bass. The first thing you gotta know is you're going to have to put the headband up 2 clicks on both sides. That's manditory. If you have them on 11, then you're gonna have a bad time. The mids and highs always hurt my ears after a while on the stock pads, and on these while I had to up the gain to high on my Schiit Magni Heresy, the sound is so much better. Don't get me wrong- they're still monitors, but the added soundstage and depth these add between your ears and the speakers makes all the difference. The reflectors on the front side of the inner earcup (the leather half) really helps to preserve the detail, while easing the ear-screeching highs. I don't know how to describe it.What I like is that there's actual bass now. it was always there- but it didn't really reach the ear in the same way. Plus, they're way more comfortable. They're super easy to put on and swap with the old ones too- it took me less than a minute for both sides. The old earcups accentuated the mids and highs, while these bring everything a step back (literally) and let you hear the entire range of notes. All in all, saved me money from having to buy a new pair of closed backs, and they're pretty comfy too. The box comes with swag- a few flyers and small book-cover sized posters. Oh, and a vinyl sticker. So that's pretty cool.

Comfortable, Transformative Headphone Pads
I use these Yaxi stPad2 on my Audio-Technica M50X, along with a Schiit Modi/Magni 3.I am absolutely blown away by the quality of these pads. For reference, I previously had Brainwavz memory foam pads (great for the price!) and the stock Audio-Technica pleather pads. These blow either out of the water. In terms of overall fit and comfort- it’s night and day. These fit completely over the ear and give a sense of depth unmatched by the others. My ears have never felt more comfortable wearing over the ear headphones, and I mean that honestly. Now to mention sound quality: It transforms what are normally a very nice pair of closed-back DJ reference headphones, into something with genuine sound stage. Yaxi claims on their site that the alcantara half of the pad goes on the back of your ear, and the leather on the front, so I’ve followed their instructions. Sound appears to be more 3D-like, and there’s increased depth of range.I rate these headphone pads very highly. I would recommend these as an immediate purchase for any headphone they fit.
