For a throw away fountain pen, this is a great value!
I have been using these for years. I am an old man with old fashioned habits. My father used to use a fountain pen and was always fascinated by them. They are great for an everyday fountain pen. The are really good for a fountain pen beginner to get the angle and feel of a pen nib. The nib is steel so it is not easy to bend or misshapen. I save my Pilot and Mont Blanc for leisure writing. If you have never experienced the flow of a fountain pen, these are the ones to start with.

Fountain pen character without the fuss
Have bought and used these many times before and, pre retirement these became my standard pen for office use. I owned Parkers, Mont Blancs and Watermans fountain pens which I either lost on journeys (airport security) or got fed up with constantly having to flush them through due to drying between uses. Then I discovered these pens and never looked back. These unfailingly write smoothly, with all the character you expect of a fountain pen and are so inexpensive that losing the odd one or two hardly matters. Excellent results and great value, thoroughly recommend.

Great Performance!
I'll admit I had my doubts when I bought these pens. To me, disposable usually means cheaply made, with poor performance. I bought them because I have a rather expensive fountain pen that I can't lay my hands on at the moment, and I didn't want to spend that kind of money on a new one. So I searched around, thinking I'd settle on something within the $30-$40 range. Then I saw these. Well, like I said, I was leery of the product. The nib is stainless steel, for one. But then I made a snap decision and decided to try them. After all, it wasn't much money, and if they didn't work out, they didn't work out.I'm happy to say I was wrong about these pens. They perform beautifully. They are light, and have a good balance. And the ink is fast-drying. I'm left-handed, and one problem I've always had with fountain pens is smearing. I have to hold my hand up at an unnatural angle so the ink can dry. I don't have to do that with these pens. The only downside--at least for me--is that the ink is blue-black, and not a lighter shade like I'd expected, judging from the cap color. But in the scheme of things, that's a very minor detail. For everyday use, I'd buy these pens again in a heartbeat.

Good pens
I really can't describe well enough how much I like these pens. There are definitely better writing instruments in the world, but not at this price (that I've found, at any rate). They write more smoothly than most ballpoints, and have a good feel in the hand. On top of that, I don't worry too much about misplacing them or leaving one at a meeting place, as they're less expensive than typical fountain pens.

Excellent Choice - Repeat Buyer - Great Value For An Entry-Level Fountain Pen
Smooth writing and lightweight. It's not a high-end pen so don't expect one. It is a great value and fun to write with and a consistent performer.

Love these pens!
I love fountain pens, but I hate changing ink cartridges, much less filling them the old-fashioned way from a jar of ink. The Varsity pens give you the best of both ballpoints & fountain pens. They write smoothly and last quite a long time. This particular purchase was the best bargain ever, and the service was superb.
