Edited 01/24/2023 Still working perfectly. System cycles on/off up to 10 times an hour, and has been doing so since October 2022. I'd say this is pretty solid, and well suited for the combined 9000W the water heater takes. Water heater has the thermostatic switch removed, so this is the full wattage/amperage every time it turns on. Still works perfectly.Used this 12V 80A relay to switch a water heater using a Temperature Controller Module also purchased here. The low amperage relay from the temperature controller module powers the coil on the 80A relay, and boom...controlling a pair of 4500W 220V water heater elements is easy.Pretty solid 'click' when the coil is powered up, and a bit of a spark across the contacts, but it works perfectly. The contacts are pretty big, and look to be solid enough to take the amperage, but longevity has yet to be measured. Since this water heater feeds my radiant flooring system in the shop, I expect the relay to be tested to its limit within a few weeks, at best a month before I can tell if it's going to last. File the contacts, and start over if there's a problem.

Works as designed just a wiring mix up so I updated my rating. The reason the coil was not working because of the wiring was just passing the voltage thru the coil.

I had the shore/generator relay go out in my 2004 RV (Powertek panel) while on vacation - it was a 30 amp. This one, while a 60 amp, is a perfect replacement and should out last my ownership of the RV.The build quality is good, but there are no instructions that come with it. Label/photograph your wires we'll and they are a 1 for 1 replacement im this replacement scenario.I did by pass the relay for a few days while I waited on it to arrive. Pretty simple since I just needed shore power. I identified those lines and just connected them to the load side and it work. But just to be sure, I turned off the generator breakers so nothing could back feed.It has worked well since I put this in. In fact, with the old relay, the breaker box used to get hot and now it does seem to happen. I imagine that the 30 amp, while the proper rating, was pushing the limits and creating heat, especially on hot climates with both ACs running full blast. You can see in the photos the heat damage is the obvious problem.The last photo is the new relay.After turning off all power sources, including 12 v system, it took me about 20 minutes to replace. Just make sure wire, by wire. I left everything a bit loose until all were connected and then tightened it all up, sungged but not so tight that something breaks.Good luck, and safe travels

This relay appears to be manufactured in one place, in China, under different brand names. I used this to build an automatic transfer switch. This relay appears to be used by a number of different brands of 30 amp automatic transfer switches found on Amazon. I feel that thirty to at most fifty amps should be the limit for this relay, although it is rated for eighty amps. This said, had it running, pulled in, for several hours, it only got moderately warm. I had it in a 6 by 6 by 3.5” enclosure, so I feel that temperature rise is acceptable. At approximately twenty dollars or so, it is a good value. Four of the screws are tucked under other parts of the relay but with a Phillips head screwdriver you can get them tight enough. You also could use a small wrench to get them tighter if needed. The other four are easily accessible.

Relay arrived with a broken base corner. I needed to place my equipment back into service, so I epoxy repaired the relay base. ( I considered this a shipping problem) With the relay installed, it failed to properly function. The coil does operate, however not enough to latch the contacts into place, Voltage applied to the coil was validated to be12.8 vdc. Polarity of the 12.8 DCv was reversed and the relay tested again. The relay still did not pull the contact arm enough to connect the contacts. I cannot return the product because of my epoxy repair. That's on me. My repair had nothing ro do with the relay arm and coil not functioning. That's on the manufacturer.

Worked well to replace worn out contactor in a 2016 Juicebox 40 (not the Pro version, no LED's on the front panel). The only very slight modification I had to make was to very slightly enlarge the mounting holes due to the Jukebox 40 mounting stud diameter. There were other options but this one was the quickest / most available.
