Excelent shoes. Got factory firsts at an excellent price. I am very happy.

Was very excited to receive these shoes in the mail (Nicest shoes I've ever bought, will be wearing them to my wedding) and was looking forward to the whole unboxing. Black box with gold type, flannel shoe bags, pristine leather, the whole luxury experience.Was however disappointed to receive a fairly dinged up box, and shoes that had very obviously been worn on rough terrain. The soles already had deep scratches in the leather, as if someone had tried them on by walking on gravel or rough asphalt, and there were some deep grooves on the insoles which I can't figure out the possible cause of.I will be keeping them anyways, as the scuffing will be quickly outdone by a single wear, and the upper leather is still in perfect condition condition. Plus I paid $280 on Amazon vs $425 from the Allen Edmonds store, so some sole scuffs are worth the discount in my opinion. Still, for a luxury product it is unfortunate to have such obvious wear right from the box, and if I were buying these as a gift for someone I would have to return them for a pristine pair.

The quintessential American captoe oxford shoe, IMO. Perfection in black. I believe multiple U.S. Presidents have worn these for their respective inaugurations. From interviews to formal events, there's nothing else in which I'd rather be seen. It's one handsome shoe. Made in Wisconsin and feels as good as it looks. Worth every penny.

Durable and stylish. I work on my feet all day, and these have remained comfortable and good-looking for more than two years. They take a polish nicely, and the only problem that I had was the heels coming loose...however, since they're well-crafted shoes, my excellent local shoe repair shop quickly replaced the worn heels and they were good as new!

The look and feel of them is really good, however they run small. Check the last used to manufacture and based on the last determine the size.

Allen Edmonds cost a fair amount and are worth every penny. I have been a loyal user for 10 years since I traded $300 for better shoes and got rid of my back pain- quite a deal.

My wife always says you can save money on a lot of things, but when it comes to shoes, don't skimp. With shoes, you generally get what you pay for. Very true in this case. The first day I ever wore these I had to spend a marathon workday in our state capital during the state legislative session. Most of the day I was on my feet. I put these shoes on in the morning, wore them for 13 hours straight, up and down stairs, to and from a lunch meeting and other meetings, on city sidewalks, to and from and through an evening reception, etc., and I never once thought of my feet (other than looking down to admire how damn nice these shoes looked). I can't believe how comfortable they are. If you have to look nice for work or throw on a suit every now and again, I can't recommend these shoes highly enough.

I guess my feet are asymmetrical, noticed I was getting foot pains in the right shoe which has never happened before. Thankfully every Allen Edmonds store can stretch them out for you. Fits much better afterwards. Good service

These shoes are manufacturing seconds that have egregious errors in multiple spots. The only way to get brand new, first quality shoes is to pay 400 bucks for them. Do not buy!!!!

AE must have modeled this shoe using my foot. Out-of-the-box perfect fit.

Great shoe at first a little stiff but once worn a full day and broken in a little with my hands just moving the backs down and up they softened up enough to be a good all day wear.

A little on the large size, but a quality shoe none the less. Love them.

By far the best-built dress shoes I've ever had. They shine well, take alterations well, and look great.
