The boxes ship flat. They are relatively easy to assemble once you get the hang of it. The plastic is quite strong. The elastic bands come in a variety of sizes and keep the doll in place. Since the plastic encases the entire doll and the lining, the dolls can't fall out like they can with a box that has a separate lid.

Easy to assemble

I was really looking for clear topped coffin boxes, but I have been unable to locate any anywhere. This was the next best option and serve the purpose sufficiently. Easy to assemble and they do hold figures securely - especially if you use the elastic restraining straps, which I do not do.

This product, from Collectoring Warehouse, is pricey, but worth it. They are the only ones I have found that are similar to the old style cardboard boxes with the clear plastic lid, which aren't made anymore that I can find. This size, 4" W x 2.25" D x 13" H allow plenty of room for clothed or unclothed Barbie dolls. Each box has elastic straps to hold doll in place. With the free shipping from Amazon it is worth purchasing from them. I highly recommend these for doll storage.

For the most part, these are decent display boxes. They’re pretty sturdy and the perfect size for Barbies. My one complaint is there’s no adhesive to keep the box together and it’s a little hard to structure the plastic for fear of bending it. Used a little hot glue to keep it together and sealed the top with a small piece of clear tape.

Far too expensive for this flimsy product. I would not keep an expensive doll or figure in it. There are no instructions which is pretty bad, again, considering the price. You also must add a substantial amount of tape if you wanted it to work properly. Don't waste $$. I wish they still made the ones I bought 10 years ago. Ugh!!

perfect size for 12 inch dolls, especially for collectors that want to store them.

I see the stock photos and others’ photos on here as well as reviews and no one mentions how the sides are supposed to stay put when you fold them in. Most importantly this didn’t even come with instructions. Yeah folding the box is easy but it won’t stay put. Do I need my own tape??? If I do then say so. Disappointing.
