Works for motorcycles too!
I really believe this cover may have saved my life! I went on a motorcycle trip and put this over my luggage pack (I know, it's a backpack cover). But it worked great! People could see me way up the highway and even in their rear-view mirrors when they would normally just cut off a motorcycle. I rode in torrential rain on the way home, for 8 hours (yellow blobs on the radar map!). Between the hi-vis color and the reflective strip, people saw me and gave me wide berth. Too many times motorcycle rain gear is black, and makes you blend in with the road. I'm about being seen! Especially because most people are too busy looking at their phones rather than their mirrrors. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that part of the reflective stripe peeled away. And one of the "male" ends of the buckles got lost somewhere between OH and SC, but I had it tied on to my pack rather than buckled, since it's not meant to work the way I needed it to. But overall it held up very well, stayed on at highway speeds and blinding downpours!

Great for fog - haven't been hit yet!
I live in the PNW and I wear my backpack around the campus I work on. Even in dense fog and a school zone, cars still love to speed in the 25mph zone. The neon yellow/green cover fits perfectly and is highly visible. My back pack is pretty much my office, so I have to take it with me all work day. If it's raining, this sure beats covering it with a big trash bag.Buckles are strong for how much I use it. Your mileage may vary. The reflective strip on mine peeled off, but it still does the job I need it to.

Excellent visibility & rain protection
I purchased the Neon Green XL (50-65L) cover for my 60L backpacking pack. When hiking in fog & rain, my companions could see the neon green from a great distance! It did the job for rain protection. With a full pack & extras hanging off the back, the cover itself still fit fine but the top to bottom strap was extended to the absolute max and could be just a little longer. Docking 1 star because the reflective strip detached after just one trip in the rain. Seems it is sewn into the side seams but just glued across the middle. Recommend running a line of stitching across to shore it up.

GENIUS. Bone dry in Seattle
1 Year Update: Still excellent!PROS: Protects my entire backpack, including laptop, from pouring rain. Super lightweight so I keep it in my bag at all times. Reflective strip still looks great.CONS: Only minor flaw is the cheap plastic buckles, but they totally work.VALUE: Over the years I've spent $$$ on proper waterproof bags (from Chrome, Northface). They are always HEAVY and work about as well as this thing, which costs less than 1/10th the price. And even if this rain cover craps out in a year and needs to be replaced, I'll have spent way less money and generated way less end-of-life waste than a single rainproof backpack. Go figure.I'm using it with a Fjallraven Ulvo 28L. Fits this rather large backpack *perfectly*

High vis
Bought this for safety. The high vis works with no abnormal wear or tear. True to size.

Using for saddle bags covers
We ride recumbents and our side bags aren’t as waterproof as we’d like (basically not at all LOL) so we got these and they work great. Fit is weird because it’s not designed for our shaped bag but they work and the extra visibility is a huge plus so we’re pleased and they keep our stuff totally dry

Great Value Bag Cover
This is incredible value for the money! Large bag covers from big brand name stores often cost double to triple what this costs. Why? A bag cover is an external layer of plastic. This bag cover comes with two buckle straps to wrap around your bag and attach itself. I used this bag for a week-long backcountry expedition in Colorado and experienced no problems with water resistance or durability. My bag remained dry throughout a rather wet and cold weekend. If you need an affordable option for a bag cover that isn't a garbage bag, definitely consider this!!

Well designed but cheap buckles.
The size of the covers and the integrated reflective strip work well with several of my rucks. However, the buckles are cheap and come undone frequently. I would not recommend as a result.
