Tried 5, liked this best for Torn Meniscus
I have a torn meniscus and I am waiting for surgery. I bought a pile of braces looking for a hinged daytime one and a lighter weight one for bedtime to prevent my knee cap from moving.I purchased both the Shock Doctor 872 and the 875 selecting sizes based on their chair. That gave me a L for the872 and a XL for the 875. This 872 in L is too small. It is really too bad because I think I would have liked it better. The 875 has 2 elastic X behind the knee. This just has 1. I felt the 875 was bulky and heavy duty and this seemed just a tad lighter. The quality on these seems excellent. They have a nice knee "doughnut" that I wanted to provide a bit of knee cap support. The fabric is soft. There is a breathable panel behind the knee. The 875 has double hinges. 872 is a normal single hinge.I also purchased:Nvorliy ASIN B096KXZ9Y1. I like that a lot. The adjustable X straps behind the knee allowed me to get a secure fit around my knee cap.Disuppo ASIN : B07PTZBY42 XL It was open behind the knee and did not give me the secure feeling I wanted on my knee cap. My knee felt like it was floating and unprotected. If you are just looking for joint support, and dont need knee compression, then this might be nice unit for you I liked the way it felt, quality, and fabric. It looks like the winnerfor waling will be the ViVe ASIN : B07L5T2HG6. I liked it best because it covered less of my leg, gave good fit. It has the X straps behind the knee making the knee "doughnut" feel secure. For nighttime I am keeping: Moxita ASIN : B09W22CK1F. Soft, top and bottom strap plus 2 X straps that wrap all around. No hinges just some side supports. Big soft doughnut.

Fits great… feels comfortable
I took this right out of the box and put it on as soon as I brought it in. It says one size on the box but, don’t pay attention to that. Measure your leg above the knee as per the instructions. I’m wearing mine on my left knee over my jeans and I’m comfortable with the way it fits. I’ve torn the meniscus in this knee and now, I wouldn’t doubt it if the ACL is torn. I have osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis so, my joints are fragile. This brace is one of the most comfortable I’ve had so far. I usually get a size large or X-Large and the size of this brace is still comfortable. I like it when a brace stays where it belongs. This one does. Most braces I’ve purchased run small. My knee has a tendency to ache and spasm by the end of the day so hopefully, this brace alleviates some of the pain. It doesn’t make me feel like my knee is confined. It feels really comfortable. Selecting a brace that will be comfortable is usually a chore. I hope I’ve helped you to decide.

Comfotable but not for ACL or Mincus
Extremely nice brace, especially for price, but I have a torn minscus & ACL issues. Tried it on & seemed very comfortable, but allows too much side motion for what I purchased it for, so I have ordered a more stable brace & will be returning this. I can say that it seems very well made, & I'm certain would help with arthritus or simliar knee issues or injuries, like sprains or strains as it gives full range of motion, but wrap around support.Wish it was far more stable so I could have kept it for comfort.

Nearly 5 years and still great.
Bought 4 1/2 yrs ago, Nov. 2019 and still works like new. No sign of support braces poking through sleeve or wear.Very adjustable. Usually worn under jeans and for me, I forget I have it on.I try to use it before strenuous projects or after when I realize I did too much without it.Goes through typical wash load fine.

It's huge
I like the support I get, but it is very big. I don't think I'll be able to wear it under jeans.

Sturdy and comfortable
It provides good support with strong straps. The only recommendation I have is, one of the metal supports may have to be bent so that it contours with shape of the leg. I use it for my left knee and I had to bend the outer metal piece to keep it from poking my thigh. Inner side is fine because the inner thigh muscle is not as thick.

Finally Found a Good Brace
I have used four different knee braces over the years, and this knee brace is by far the most comfortable and the most supportive brace I’ve ever used. I love the gray color and the fabric has just enough flexibility, but still super supportive. Other more expensive braces were super bulky and stiff making it uncomfortable to wear when you cinched it tight enough for support. This one is not like that and really works. I would highly recommend it to someone recovering from surgery or serious knee injury. Wore this one out, bought a new one today.

Very painful,. do not buy
Raised ridge around kneecap hole, locks in kneecap, and puts a lot of pressure outside of the kneecap. I had torn meniscus surgery, and thought this would help. Worst knee brace I have ever seen or used. Absolutely does not work for meniscus tears.I wore for 10 minutes, and had to take it off. I found that no brace at all was better than this thing. Also steel side hinges rub against side of knee cap sometimes, because they are too far forward and tilt into the knee.
