Might be OK for lime, but not made for sediment removal
I got this to keep sediment out of my washing machine. I'm on a well system and when it rains heavily, sediment tussles around in the water and sometimes blocks the invalve to the washing machine. This was my solution to trap the sediment before it got to the invalve but it is pure useless. I even added a micro filter (not included) to the unit but it didn't make an ounce of difference. such a pity.
