I can't find the amazon link to buy the same filters it comes with new? Some answers please. All the links send me to the wrong filters.Over good, but where the pex lines enter, be prepared to put plumbers putty, tape was not sufficient to prevent leaking.

Fixed the cloudy stuff on my dishes in the dishwasher from hard water scale. Very pleased. Would buy again.

UPDATE 9/13/15: Still good as ever after bimonthly filter changes... 2 years and satisfied.I'm using this as a whole house sediment filter and it seems to be doing a great job. I had a little backwash filter before, well I've had two of those, and they don't last very long... this was about the same price, except of course I have to change the filter... no backwashing on a paper filter. My water is straight from a clean and clear river, so I just need sediment removed and it's used for everything except the drinking water, which then goes through a reverse osmosis system. I put the replacement filters on subscription. I did not give this a "perfect" rating simply because it's still new, we'll see how it holds up through time.This unit comes with a hefty filter wrench for changing filters, but as mentioned by others, the support bracket must be ordered separately. Since my unit is located in the pump house, it has 1" schedule 40 pipes in and out, so it seems sturdy enough. I'm happy with the installation and unit. Had no leaking at all.Because I had the backwash filters before, which only caught the big stuff, I have a second, smaller filter located at the water heater and another at the washing machine, since this is river water and we get cypress needles in the fall, but those stay clean with this filter in front of them... now that's just a backup to prevent other problems if this filter breaks. I bought the level 1 sed filter for use in this housing, but also bought a level 4 filter in case I decide to filter more... but that was double the price so I hope it's not needed. I'll save it for emergencies.Since I have all pvc in the pump system, installation was very simple for me, I just installed a plastic valve at the input and output so I can close it when checking/replacing the filter (I have a pressure tank located after the filter, as well as check valves).

County I live in works on the pumps or piping and gets trash in the lines. Because of that so I'm tired of my toilet flush valve getting clogged or my sink faucet, showerhead and washer. So this is being installed to prevent that from happening.

Just what I needed

This filter seems to work OK. Its fairly new yet.Install was simple enough.But when I turned the water on it had a slow leak around the handle at the top (not between the clear body and the blue top)... since I had it hard plumbed into my system I didn't want to take it off. I turned the water off and did some investigating and under the handle there are 4 screws. I took those out and there is an O-ring around the handle interior. I put a bunch of plumbing silicone grease on the o-ring, reassembled it, and the leak was FIXED.So be advised... If you get a leak coming under the handle you can fix it. Just be sure to turn the water off first!I downgraded the product to 3 stars since I had to fix it. Now it seems to work OK.*********************************UPDATE - 3may2013This filter housing is still going strong. I've probably changed the filter 4-6 times.I have had no issues with leaks. It seems the initial fix is holding fine.Maybe the problem was a twisted O-ring and when I removed it and greased it the reason it stopped leaking was that it wasn't rolled?Anyway, just wanted to update the review to let you know it is working.If it keeps up this good performance maybe I will upgrade it to 4 stars...BTW - I am using these filtersCulligan P5-D Level 4 5 Micron Sediment Filtration 2 Pack Replacement Cartridges
