Auditor's Guide to IT Auditing, + Software Demo 2nd Edition

The only sad part is that I did not receive the Software that was supposed to come with the package

I received this book, but did not brought the software demo announced. I need this part of the book wich I paid for.

I have been conducting auditing and consulting for more than 15 years. This book contains valuable information on auditing and covers basics of computing environments. However it is outdated and severely overpriced for this content. Although the book states it was published in 2012, it provides decade old best practices which are not in use anymore, especially in cyber security area. It unnecessarily goes to detail on some technical topics instead of focusing on how to implement controls and reference newer standards about the topics presented by the author.I would not recommend this book, unless you are new to the profession and need to cover basics.
