Best I’ve tried so far
French green lentils are not easy to find in stores so nice to be able to get quickly from AMZ.They are pricey but not outrageously so. Bought my second package and with my regular recipe was flawless. Will buy again for sure.

Keep their shape well, best lentils ever.
These Le Puy lentils are so flavorful and have a wonderful firm texture. As a vegetarian, they are worth every penny. They had a very good late expiration date too.

Package was opened and re-sealed
The box had been opened and wrapped in plastic with lentils spilling into the plastic wrap from the original packaging.

Tasty, its the real deal
Value is a relative thing, the only reason I marked it down is because it is mostly shipping overseas that drives the price and that is not really "value" but the flavor is Amazing!

A lentil is not just a lentil
I am a longtime lentil eater with a partiality to Turkish Red Lentil soup, but my grandmother's lentil soup was the best I had ever tasted anywhere, and I had hoped to re-create it. Tried brown lentils, French-style lentils, green lentils, and they were good but not what I remember. And then, because of America's Test Kitchen, I gave the Puy a shot.OMG. They are probably the lentils my grandmother used. I have eaten through two boxes already. Can't recommend them--or ATK's recipe for their preparation--enough.

So Delicious
I'm addicted to these lentils! I make a lentil salad with bacon and a vinaigrette made with Dijon mustard and sherry vinegar, with lots of sauted carrots and celery. Absolutely delicious and nourishing, and I feel like I'm in France. Amazon's price is high, though. Rancho Gordo says its lentils have a similar flavor and texture, and they're a great company too, with consistently delicious and extremely high-quality products - and theirs may be slightly less expensive.
