Works just as well as the name brand
I have an LG refrigerator. I have ordered these for a second time with no problem. Ice tastes good (I have an ice maker but no water dispenser on my frig simply because the water dispenser was the first problem I had with my previous refrigerator.) No leakage, good value for the price. Easy to install. Ice is clear with no odor. Just make sure you purchase the correct number that is compatible with the one that was installed in your refrigerator when purchased.

Good substitute
Works just as good as the LG version. Cheaper, too.

Great filter, perfect fit, does the job!

The filter fits. The LG fitting was messed up!
Fit but had to read up on why it was housing alignment issue and NOT a filter problem. Made the correction and it connected easily

It seems to do the job.
Replaced old filter week ago. This filter fit our LG refrigerator and seems to be working fine.

Ineffective filter 143 TDS reading
I installed this filter, quite easily and followed the manufacturer's instructions to purge it from impurities. After 4.5 gallons of filtration I used a TDS meter that came with our counter top "ZeroWater" filter and pitcher because I was curious about the filtering capabilities of this filter. The initial readings with the TDS were 160 ppm for this filter, 175 ppm for Chicago tap water (we have pretty hard water in Chicago) and "0" for the water from the "ZeroWater" brand pitcher filter. Today (about 2 weeks later) the PPM of Chicago Tap Water was 168 ppm, the LG LT1000P Water Filter Replacement ranged between 136-138 and the "ZeroWater" filter pitcher water was "0-2". I am giving this 2 stars for ease of installation, but if you are looking for an effective filter, look elsewhere. The other evaluation criteria was taste. Chicago water taste is very popular. So if you are hardly filtering anything with this filter, you are obviously not going to change the flavor of the water much, so the 5 star flavor rating really goes to the City of Chicago Department of Water Management for giving us Chicago residents relatively safe and good tasting water. Seriously 136-138 ppm from a filter is not really acceptable filtration. That is only a deviation of 30 ppm, that is not much filtration.
