Q: Is Peppermint Essential really prevent spiders and insects?

Recently discovered, a few drops of pure peppermint oil, mixed with a small amount of dish detergent (as an emulsifier), sprayed sparingly on the top of soil, will help eliminate fungus gnats. Turns out it is a natural repellent, which is always preferable to a chemical solution, especially when the problem is minor and not severe. Additionally, the above may also be mixed with a solution of pure cold pressed neem oil, (you can find the mixture measurements online) and can be used as a drench to help eliminate scale on gardenias. The solution is drawn up through the leaves, killing off soft shell scale. It may also be sprayed directly on the leaves, but since gardenias are so fussy and prone to many varieties of pests, prefer the drench. The peppermint oil counters the unpleasant smell of the neem oil. Win-win.

Hi TonyThank you for asking. Yes we do recommend that you dilute the Peppermint with a carrier oil. We recommend that you dilute to a 2-3% with carrier oil. 6-9 drops in 2-tsp of your choice of carrier oil. Then apply topically to the skin.

Q: Can you use this product to flavor homemade toothpaste?

If you want to use Peppermint in toothpaste, use extract.

Q: Does it say steam distilled or cold pressed on the bottle?

Our bottle itself does not say either. I can tell you that the extraction method is Steam Distilled.
