Practical Everyday Boombox
I like the boombox, the sound is clear, although it's not powerful. The best part is the programming buttons, USB mic, and aux. port. There's also a bluetooth setting. The flashing light feature is nice and my favorite thing is adding small speakers to enhance the sound. Sound quality is proved with better quality CDs and drives. I usually use an entertainment laptop for my CDs and music drives. The item did start skipping on CD tracks, but that can be fixed if CDs are clean, unscratched and the player has adequate ventilation under the base.

Perfect Size, Decent Sound
Most of my music is digitalized now, but I still have a few CDs with interesting artwork that I listen to from time to time. So when my old AM/FM radio / CD player / cassette player from the mid 1990s died I began looking for a replacement and settled on this.I love this so much!It is way lighter than my clunky old stereo, that's such a relief. This will be easy to pick up and move from room to room if I need to. Right now it's in the kitchen, where our puppy sleeps overnight. I like that this stereo has flashing lights - they're a soft hue/glow and they make a nice 'night light' for the puppy. It has decent sound and it is easy to 'tune' to find a station. The CD portion I haven't used yet, but it looks to be operable. For the price, this little radio certainly surprised me!

It's Chinese Garbage!
TL;DR: If you like wasting money, buy it!Pros: None?Cons: cheap, very cheap Chinese components. Cd player skipped day one with a brand new cd.We bought this for our nursery so we could play music as our daughter went to sleep. Simple enough right?*Buzzer noises*No. It skipped day one ..We said ok... CDs are older tech. Let's try the USB port. I try my trusty 16GB. Nope. Nothing. So I try a 8GB. It works! There's a small amount of feedback...at any volume beyond pretty low. But it's loud enough to hear. Then today, my daughter is in her room, and grabs the USB. It broke the USB port. When I say broke .. I mean at the solder points. I take the machine apart. Cheap @55 USB port that isn't even single design. It's a USB female 2.0 adapter soldered to a cheap circuit board that from there routes from a 4 pin connector to the mainboard. Looking inside though I can see why it's garbage. Old boards, cheaply engineered...looks like it was made with recycled components from an old Dell.So now we are going to by a reliable Bluetooth speaker with USB input like we should have from the get go.

Good Quality for the Price
Because the item is shipped in its original packaging, it is not good to have it sent as a gift to someone directly. When it arrived, the box was all beat up, making me wonder if the item was damaged. Luckily, no damage was found. Everything worked as it should. Since the unit was going to be hooked up to external speakers via the headphone jack, there was little concern about the sound. However, the sound is pretty good by itself, but definitely much better using the external speakers. And, because the speakers have their own power and controls for treble, bass and volume, the sound can be adjusted and also go much louder, if needed. According to the instructions, the flashing lights can be turned off. However, they do not stay off, but come on each time the unit is turned back on. Too bad they cannot be turned off and stay off until the user actually wants them back on. One thing not mentioned in the description of the unit is that the directions state to unplug it from AC power (if using AC power) when turning the unit off--not user friendly. Perhaps using an outlet surge protector with an on/off switch is a viable alternative. Nevertheless, it seems to be a pretty good boombox for the money.

Awesome CD player!
My three year old grandson loves this new CD player. It’s very easy to use. He already figured out how to repeat one song. It’s the first thing he grabs when he comes to our home. The sound quality is very good. Having it work with batteries is a plus so my grandson can bring it to several areas especially outside while I swing him. He loves the flashing LED lights on the speaker when each song is played. Some negative reviews said you couldn’t turn it off, but you can by holding the Function key down for 3 seconds. Very happy we purchased it!

Singing Plastic
Swiss army knife media player: FM and AM (with a proper whip antenna that collapses into the case), CD player, and a USB port that can play MP3s. It is the only BT speaker I've found on Amazon with a USB port that can recognize and navigate folders (and stop at the end of the folder played). And, as other reviewers have said, it is quite cute.Unfortunately, it doesn't sound good. Absolutely no bass, my educated guess is that it does not go much below about 600 cps. Lower midrange is attenuated. Bass requires power, and 1.5 watts per speaker is inadequate. Not much high end either. Think AM radio in an old car. This leaves the music rather dull and flat sounding. The way the speakers are vented does disperse the sound around the room quite well and does make it efficient enough to provide a decent level of sound in the reduced range of the speakers' capability. The little speakers and the enclosure are the problem; it sounded quite good on headphones. The low power does yield good battery life."Singing Wood" probably comes from other speaker products they make with nice rigid wood enclosures. The thin plastic shell on this baby resonates at a high frequency, further skewing the sound spectrum into the upper midrange. I am purchasing a speaker with more oomph, but will keep this as an auxiliary unit for its multi-function capabilities. And it IS cute. Not for those who want to rock or who treasure the nuances in their music. Satisfactory for background music at a cocktail party, but those "party lights" ain't for a dance party.
